I don't understand why the its so cold in here? what equivalent products are there that taste better, convenient, quicker and are cheaper? Equivalents to Cyclone, Promax Diet and Promax RTD please.

As a meal replacement Promax Diet surely can't be beaten.

Simply because Maximuscle are literally horrendous value for money.

Taste is subjective but give me myprotein choc smooth anyday

convenient

Do you mean for RTDs? Hows about putting your powder in an empty beaker then adding water later from a tap or bottle of water.

quicker

Adding water and shaking takes literally seconds. You waste more time wiping your @rse more times than necessary just to make sure there's no more cack on the paper!

and are cheaper?

This is a joke right!

have a look at http://www.myprotein.co.uk

If you're still struggling for comparable products shout up and I'll pick em out for you.

I don't buy into any product that is self-styled "diet". As a broadly protein based mrp, they would be considered low calorie and low fat anyway!

For the record I use MP's impact whey at £8 per kilo (flavoured/sweetened)

MAXIMUSCLE = MaxiFraud/ Maxi Marketing hype, Maxi overprice = No Enhancement to gluteus maximus therefore answer = steroids and/or awesome genetics.

I was joking on the price, however some MM products are half price at ASDA.

Other than MP are there any other competitors out there?

Why would anyone want to take protein just before and during a workout? I can't think of anything that would counteract an effective workout more than that.

http://www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk/

They also do their own bulk supply whey etc which will be cheaper than branded.

I would say that pre-workout nutrition is just as, if not more important than post-workout nutrition, and if you're training first thing in the morning you might not have the time to wait around while a solid meal digests.

Edit: Though I'm not saying Maximuscle's the way to go, completely overpriced products. GSK bought them not long ago and we all remember what the Lucozade protein range was like!
