Now this won't appeal to all as you still need to spend some money on a bet but will appeal to folk who were going to buy a new replica top anyway which normally goes for £40 so essentially your getting a free bet and a chance to win big money plus you get £20 quidco back.

I went for this as I was going to buy a Sweden top anyway but as I get a free bet, I put it on Holland.

So at the VERY MINIMUM, I would have paid £40 for my top and get £20 quidco back.

If Holland WINS, I would get a football top plus £520 winnings and £20 quidco.

Remember this deal is only good IF you were gonna buy a new top anyway! You will receive your voucher within 48 hours of betting.

--------------------

Please note:

To qualify for a replica shirt, players must make a single win bet of at least 55 / US$80 / £40 / RON175 / PLN175 on the outright winner of Euro 2008 tournament
Only players who make their first deposit between 1st May and 17th June are eligible for this promotion
Within 48 hours of placing a qualifying bet, we shall issue you with a voucher code to be redeemed against a replica football shirt at http://www.subsidesports.com
Qualifying bets must be placed by no later than 23:59hr ET on 17 June 2008
This offer may not be used in conjunction with any other sign-up bonus available at any PartyGaming website.

subside give 5% quidco but not sure if it'd work on the voucher you get given for there but it'd be worth a try.

Will keep that in mind when I get my shirt

If you have the money and don't mind it being tied up for a while you could just lay off the bet at betfair. You'll get 5.0 on Germany at gamebookers and can currently lay for 5.00.

Don't forget the Betfair commision though. Make a small loss if you don't fancy a flutter.

If you want to fix your loss entirely you'd lay Germany for £40.40 at betfair. (You'll need £161.60 in your account)*
You are then looking at a loss of £1.60 or £1.62 come what may.......but you have bagged yourself a shirt.

If you have never laid ...then read up and make sure you understand of course.

[This assumes 5% commission]

Voted hot, but wait till 17th to bet as there could be shocks before then.

Suppose so, but it's very vague. Usually it will be a voucher of a cash value, but there is no mention of how much the voucher will be able to redeem you.

I have a great way to guarantee money.

Put the £40 bet on anyone, but look on other bookmakers for Lay odds as close as possible to the odds of them to win (eg, If Italy are 5.0 and then on betfair you can lay them at 5.2). Then use this site (http://www.fundmydegree.com/matchedbetting/fmdmbc.php) to calculate how much to lay to get the most back on your bet. You are guaranteed to make a very minimal loss with the £40 bet, but seeing as you get quidco and a free shirt, you are really making 100% sure of a profit.

well it tracks  hopefully update to 20 quid at some point :-D

I just needed the bonus money to cover my Euro 2008 games ( have to make it watchable somehow ) ;) and have used all the others for Quidco..Rofl!! we need more betting shops on quidco for free bets ;)

I was thinkin the same, it doesnt say anywhere it has to be a Euro 08 team, which if is true makes this an amazing deal.
#14
Dam, just got my Liverpool shirt, would have went for this.

"Back a country, keep the shirt"

The title makes it sound like you get the shirt of the team you put your money on.
#15
They did this same offer for the World Cup in 06. You can choose any shirt. I got myself a 1990 England shirt, but it is a bit big. Doh!
#16
So welsh_tom if you back a team and lay them at the same odds...say they win, you break even? And if they lose you get £££
#17
That's a great deal. I've gone for this. Put the £40 on Spain to win. Might lay it off using above strategy at some point over the next few days. Will see how Spain get on in the group matches first!

It's definately an Italia shirt for me though!

If you back and lay the same stake at the same odds, you will only lose the amount of commission (5% at Betfair) IF the team wins. If the team loses, you break even. Just a note: Betfair uses DECIMAL odds, bookmakers tend to use FRACTIONAL. I.E. 4/1 = 5.00; 33/1 = 34.00.
#19
So can you even win?
#20
depends if you're going to lay off or not. If you lay off your bet at BF, you may lose £10 overall on the bets, but would gain overall as you'd get £20 quidco plus a free footy shirt.

If you dont, then you're gambling your money for a team to win, although you're staking rouglhy the same as buying a footy shirt anyway, so if you were going to get a shirt its worth doing it this way.
#21
I did this offer for the world cup 2006. Then it was place a £30 bet and get a shirt same website subside and I made on it as voucher was worth £40.
#22
As per my earlier post if you want to lay it you won't take a big hit. Of course the downside is you aint gonna win either.

You can get decimal odds on Gamebookers - use the drop down selector.

Betfair odds have moved slightly and it's now 5.1 to lay Germany.

In terms of the figures you'd now lay £39.60 for a guaranteed loss of £2.36/£2.38 come what may. http://www.arbcruncher.com/backlay.asp is a very nice calculator.

Don't forget as well as trying to get odds as close together as possible the lower the odds the less funds you'll need in betfair to cover the bet (eg £162.36 for the above example). If I were going to do this it'd be Germany for me (shortest odds and only 0.1 difference)

EDIT: Betfair is now 5 for laying again.
#23
its an interesting 1 this is there any charges for opening an account and do you have to keep using them or can u just do this deal and never use them again
#25
Hmmm i'm tempted by this. £20 for a shirt is not bad at all. Plus the possibility of winning £200+ too.

Just goign to think about what team to pick. I think i mainly fancy Germany, but Italy for me would be a close bet too. Outsiders being Croatia who i think could cause i shock too.

Quidco qualifying rules state:

"For genuine tracked transactions completed wholly online, you can earn:

£20 for a minimum deposit of $25 (£13.50) and having earned 5 party points to become a qualified real money player "

What are 5 party points?
Does it mean further wagers are required to qualify for the £20 back?
#28

Thats a decent deal, however the shirts are not replicas, just cheap prints.

I'm with you, not sure about these party points but I assume you will get them when you bet £40.

As for the betfair thing. Yes you can guarantee a minimal loss but if the team you backed then laid won the tournament you would be pretty upset. Trust me. I've done it. lol:thinking:
#30
I'm confused by the lay, is there a step by step guide for dummies?
#31
Go to Betfair.com, they'll show you with a demo account. Put simply you don't bet for the team, player, horse, etc. to win but you bet it'll lose.:pirate:
#32
With laying a team though, if they actually win, are you not liable to pay more than the stake back?
#33

As for Betfair....Think of it as staking £161.60 to win £40.40 (using my original example).

Possibility A: Germany win.... you get £40 + £160 back from gamebookers = £200 - but you owe £161.60 at Betfair. That leaves you with £38.40. You lost £1.60.

Possibility B: Germany don't win. You get £40.40 back less 5% commission (£2.02). That leaves you with £38.38. You lost £1.62.

Like I say if you don't know what you're doing.....don't.

has anyone had their voucher code emailed so far?

I backed Germany and plan to lay off when they pass the group stages.

has anyone seen any good bargains on the subside site? I fancy the ROMA top, but Im a medium and they dont have that size...

Not really. Quidco is a BONUS. If you were buying a shirt anyway, you basically get a free £40 bet which can potentially win you hundreds. Like I said, if you were going to buy a shirt anyway then why not have a free flutter
#38
I'm very experienced in backing & laying bets, esp in Betfair. if no one finds the info they need, then PM me and I'll be happy to help

Good deal, especially if quidco tracks AND my team win

Gamebookers:

Betfair:

£25 Deposit bonus.
