If you have a phobia of yellow, please don't fly with ryanair :giggle:

No this is the real deal, I've had the email too. Took advantage of the last offer and went to Dublin recently with the missus for 4p total return. I would imagine you can book what you want to without any limits, just like the last offer. Have to go a bit further this time though, the drinks trolley only got halfway down the plane before it was time to land! :-D

thanks for the pointer professor yaffle ! will stay up to see if i can book !

Is there any catch for this?

No... ryanair get their money though...

£0.01 flight
£10.00 bags (Average)
£5 food (average)
£10 duty free (average)

That way they've just got £25 quid on average per passenger per plane... more than enough profit.

Tip: Don't buy anything on board their aircraft unless you have to, stock up at the airport.
#13
I just went to Dublin on the £10 tickets offer from a while back. Total cost was £84.70 for the tickets (including card charges), and €12 for the baggage. That was for wife and two kids..

Given that the taxes are about £146.40 for that trip - I have NO idea how they do it. But as they're about the most profitable airline in the world, somehow they do.

Ah..so the free flight does not include baggage allowance. Didn't know that cos i only flew with easyjet but not ryanair. But £10 is still not bad...I don't buy food and duty free stuff on the plane so I could save on that. =)

Yeah, that's usually the downside - Flew Thursday and Tuesday. Meant my parents got to see the kids a little longer though :)

£5 each way - when booked at the time of original booking. Any later and it's (effectively) £10/sector.

ODDLY though, I didn't get charged for my luggage leaving Gatwick, and got charged €12 leaving Dublin.

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - always the days for these promotions... if you're lucky Monday might be included...

Don't make it too big... was at stansted for the first FR flight to DUB and people were being turned away because they had either a small roll along suitcase or big rucksack... and that was a month ago ;-)

Really? I took a case this exact size 55cm x 40cm x 20cm from stanstead in March, and am planning to in Sept/Oct (already paid for our flights :( ) you think this will be a problem

They didn't even look at our cases in March, just asked if we had one piece of hand luggage each

f you're on the borderline they'll be hot on it now... stansted is the main UK airport for terrorism... i've never know such strict checks when i was there, much stricter than birmingham the week before. I'm going from there in August, so will just take a small bag.

You'll be fine if its within the limit, but anything over... noo...

Think it depends on the airport staff! Last month I flew from Prestwick to Stansted, my case like yours was the exact size, they weren't going to let me take it on as hand luggage but after a bit of discussion they relented. On the way back from Stansted they didn't bother!

It would help if all airlines had the same dimensions and weight for hand luggage but as they don't there will be times when airport staff get it wrong

Deffo... The difference between BHX, EMA & STN was amazing... I suppose BAA don't like to see slackness but hey, thats life

Think it might be just under the dimensions should should be ok

Yeah they seemed quite strict when we went too, had to take my shoes off :)

Taking your shoes off varies as well! They don't make people take their shoes off every day and on some days it is only the selected lucky ones that have to remove their shoes!

The amount of people who still turn up at security with items that they cannot take onboard is huge! All they do is hold everyone else up and make the queues longer!

Got to BHX at 4:30, checked in, and the queue for security at 5:00 was twice around the terminal :|

They always choose parents with small children to do the shoe thing, I have been made to take off my shoes everytime I have travelled alone with my wee one when others travelling alone have been let through with shoes. I must look dodgy.
#32
It's a nightmare at some airports, Stansted is really bad for having huge queues at security. There is going to be a summit regarding the lengthy wait that people are having at security with the Transport Minister, representatives from the airlines, airports and travel industry, a date hasn't been set as yet.

The Sun and TTG (one of the travel trade newspapers) have a campaign and petiton going regarding this. The has assisted in the decision by the Transport Minister to hold the summit
#33
Does anyone know what destinations will be in this deal?

I travelled with my niece 2 weeks ago and neither of us had to remove our shoes. I haven't had to remove my shoes for ages but other people going through security at same time have:?
