  I got it cheaper over one year ago.... surely for something like a top end mobile phone that means this is a pretty bad deal.

  I'm making a point.... phone prices drop quickly..... it was cheaper over a year ago, therefore it's an awful deal now.
  
  If this is the cheapest deal now, which it isn't, then clearly the advice is not to buy now. However you look at it, it's a bad deal.

  I can't believe anyone would buy this phone then limit themselves to a 100MB data limit so they could hardly use it. If you discard the contract, the phone is only worth £350 from the likes of Amazon and Play.com.

  buymobilephones.net is the same price for the same contract, but with 7 months half price line rental by redemption.... surely that's better as you're at no loss if it doesn't come through.
  
  Carphone Warehouse is the same price as this with the same Quidco.
  
  It's just not a good deal, but a standard one.
