Seems like a non-clearance deal - apologise if I have got any of the details wrong and please correct me - thanks.

p/s. you may hate cashbacks or you may hate phones4u, nevertheless, as a deal (which I've been looking for), this seems to be quite good.

quidco should not be in the figures as it is not guaranteed
#2
I got my £50 from quidco in November. I had bought a vodafone contract from phones4u in Sept. so quidco is certainly guaranteed.
#3
anyone any thoughts on this

this looks pretty hot to me (best 12 month contract at mo?)

Agree with this as I got my £50 quidco on phones4you no problem

i knew neither quidco nor the total cashback of £360 could be guaranteed, that was the reason I stated "should everything go smoothly" before doing the calculation on the original message.

seeing it from the other way, i shouldn't have posted this deal simply because potentially, one could still end up paying 480 quid for this phone and this contract, which would not be a deal at all.

so, one could choose to be tempted but do nothing to miss - or take a risk to enjoy - this potential good deal.

duckling, I generally miss out the QuidCo as that isn't given by the retailer. I do, however, say " + £x QuidCo" in the title. May be a good idea.

ok i've made some changes both on the title line and in the message, if anyone thinks the message looks confusing now, please let me know and i'll see what i can do.

thanks.

Great deal but I don't like the touch buttons on the U600. I ordered the G600 last night, 500 mins, 500 texts, 12 months 9 months free rental
#10
uklad2k, do you mind telling me whether the G600 you ordered was a clearance, or brand new phone please?

one of the main reasons why i think this U600 is a deal is because it's not a clearance - for a clearance, i would ask for a better offer.

thanks.

Great deal and a brand new phone unlike most decent E2Save deals, voted hot++++
#12
Oooh, looks good. Is it the cash back deal where if you miss one you miss all though?

I ordered this and it was NOT clearance. ALL accessories. Please check one of my earlier posts for the deal.

Apologies, the one i posted is no longer available. This is one similar but with only 7 months cashback.

Looks like you got a good deal before on your G600 magicjay, even that one you've posted at 7months cashback is a clearance. :)

just checked a deal you found around 2 weeks ago, clicked on the link to go to the deal and though the deal seemed to have gone, the link did mention that the G600 was a clearance phone.

i understand you got all accessories and it seemed the phone came boxed as well, but i can't help thinking since it was stated as 'clearance' on phones4u website, it meant some other people who had also ordered the same phone on the same tariff might not have been as lucky as you were - just a thought - so those who were not as lucky may not have been able to request phones4u to send a boxed phone with all accessories nicely packed in the box for them.

whereas my deal, since it's not a clearance (as it's not stated on the link), people who receive the phone unboxed or without all accessories can make a good argument with phones4u or the consumers could approach bodies like advertising association for advice and complaints.

just my 0.02 penny thought.

the other reason why i thought my deal is a good deal, since i haven't seen anyone on this site to explain the legal responsibility of phones4u over mobiles2yourdoor, i prefer dealing with the better known mother company than a subsidiary... who knows whether phones4u needs to deal with all mobiles2yourdoor's debt should anything unfortunate happen?

another 0.02 penny thought.

Looks a good deal but as others have previously noted the U600's touch sensitive buttons are absolutely horrible, resulting in it constantly doing things you don't want it to do. I have one and would never get another.
#18
somehow it's been made expired, can anyone explain please?
#19
i was keener on this deal as it was with Phones4U.

Does anyone know if with this deal you can print off your bill online? As that would make it very very easy.

Also anyon heard many horror stories of them not honouring the deal?

Any other stories of the phone being a bad phone, as regards to the touch screen?

Any other thoughts at all?

I note what you say. The main reason why I got the phone was because I knew I wouldnt need it and sold it on for £180. If the phone WAS clearance, I agree, I would have been aggrieved. Still, the G600 is a much nicer phone that U600 and it was Phones4U. I have still voted yours hot as the deal is good.

checked the deal at phones4u on 31/01/2008 and it seemed the deal was NOT expired.

can the individual make the deal expire explain please?
