Care to expand on why not?

The suits are of the same quality of the likes of Debenhams and House Of Fraiser, including the jeff banks and also the new Ben Sherman Suits

This is a great deal!

No the suit is £99 in fact, because you are getting the lovely shirt, tie, and shoes for 'free'. Burton's formal is tatt, wouldn't buy a Jeff Banks or Ben Sherman suit.

Rather have this for £69 - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/449903/collezione-pure-wool-3-button-strip/

Glad to know that you know a great deal about suits then! :?

Is this just your opinion that they are poor or do you work in the trade?

Got this deal today for a funeral on Friday. Great bargain lovely suit. Also got 9.90 off for taking a burtons card. Suit, shoes, shirt and tie for £89 can't complain.
#9
I cant stand burtons casual stuff but I do like the formal trousers for work! And I have had trousers from all different shops!
#10
I never use Burton now. Received a gift card a long while back and am sure I last used it within the last 2 years, it still expired. Regardless, I don't agree with them taking peoples money then "expiring" it.
#11
They give 10% off with a student card!
#12
Just got this today, the £120 (for some reason the ones that are £130 on the website are £120 instore) one with two more ties (£10) with student discount all for £118.

Then why did you even bother with this thread?

The suit isn't £99........ you get a shirt, tie and shoes with it.

For those who rarely wear a suit, but only need one for funerals, weddings and the odd interview, it's ideal. Burtons is decent enough quality, up there with Next, George etc.

They fit well enough too.

I always go for pure wool when I buy suits, but since I have to wear a suit for work 90% of the time, I get more value from a more expensive suit ( hope that makes sense! ).

However, for those with either a limited budget or who don't need to ( or have to! ) wear a suit other than on special occasions...there's nowt wrong with this deal!

Do they do clip-on piano ties in this deal? I'm going out on Saturday night (to an over 40s singles do) and I want to look my best. Oh, yeah and do the trousers come in size 76 waist?
#16
good price but burtons suits suck big time !! Keep WELL WELL away
#17
this 'deal' has been on for ages.

i got a suit, shirt, tie & shoes for £99 back in May for my sisters wedding.

im pleased with it, cant go wrong for the cash, and the sales assistant was very helpful.

The cheap suit post always provokes a reaction I suppose.

If it's a suit on a budget I don't think you can beat Tescos "£49" range (Jacket £35 and trousers £14). They do very subtle pinstripes and even a Prince of Wales Check.

Even better with a 20% off weekend (£39.20) plus clubcard points etc.

Can't be certain but they tend to do 20% off near a bank holiday.

The £49 range would not look out of place next to these Burton ones.

Current range Shirt and Tie sets are £6 each (lots of options).

So suit + shirt + tie is £55 or £44 on a 20% off day. Plenty left over for a pair of shoes.

No the suit IS 99 quid, because you get the other stuff 'free'. You can get a decent designer suit in the sales right now for less than a hundred, actually there is a decent calvin klein deal on here right now.

Hot deal!

Did this deal earlier this year, and the suit is very nice, as are the shoes I got, looks good, and more importantly - got me a job!!

:-D
#26
If you are on a tighter budget, the same deal (suit plus free shirt, tie and shoes) is available at BHS for £69 - not that I am suggesting that it's a quality deal but for an emergency.......

I think I'm getting a new suit!

that's great, thanks for sharing!

My Mother used to work at a place called Wensum Clothing in Norwich where suits were made for a range of companies including Harrods, M&S and Aquascutum.

I know for a fact that the same cloth and workmanship just had different labels put on them - so you really do just pay for the name.
#30
I got mine in store £120, a "wool rich" suit - it probably contains traces of wool ;¬)
I also got to pick from any of their shirts and ties, (not just the ones packaged with the suits) and also a larger range of shoes than on the website - i got some ankle boots. @ Haverfordwest
#31
got 10% extra chat to the store manage...

students / burton card holders also get discount upto 20% on certain days- ask in store for details
#32
Hot from me. Entire wedding gear in one shop for less than £90 with a blagged student discount. Can't go wrong whatever the suit snobs think. Mine is going to spend most (if not all) of the next year in the wardrobe!
#33
Anyone know if this deal is still on? No mention on the website - instore only?
