This is my 1st deal so please be gentle! I cannot see it posted anywhere else.

You can now watch Sky through your Xbox. My sky connection in the lounge is shared with the one in the kitchen. This now means I can watch different channels in both rooms without having an additional multiroom subsciption. I watched it last night and was amazed at the quality.

Although all the channels are not on you can watch movies and sport and there is a planner the same as sky.

If I have a sky subscription already with movies and sports. Does that mean I can watch it on my xbox for free?

If so, how do I do it and what do they need off me?

It's completely free for all of us Sky customers with multiroom, just head to: http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/skyplayer/ and follow the instructions. :-D

*Also a reminder to everyone that Xbox Live is free for everyone from 5pm today until 5pm Monday 30th November (for Europe) to cover the Xbox Festival this weekend! see you on Live and good luck in Friday nights 1 Vs 100.

only downloaded it to try and watch a game with some mates online but switched it off after 5 mins

it would be fine if you had nuthing but when you already have sky you arnt gonna bother using it

If you don't have multiroom already you cannot watch live tv. The xbox skyplayer version is exactly the same as PC skyplayer. Although you can watch movies from the skyplayer movies list (there are hundreds) if you subscribe to movies.

I actually prefer it to my Skybox as it has such a huge library of programs to choose from, it's like having Sky anytime but with everything from the past month available. :w00t:

Not available for the PS3 yet...can't use the sky player website version either as the PS3 doesn't have a silverlight player.

Sorry, thought it was a deal as it was free and wanted to alert people to it. Maybe wont bother next time!

Have you tried changing the stream quality from high to medium. It streamed without stopping on my machine and seemed fine to watch. It also saves many arguments with the wife over what we are watching!
