NOTE:
May be limited to specific customers who have left Sky (like me) but I was only on a cheap package and only left 8 months ago so you may be able to get this deal as long as you used to have Sky.

I got a card through the door with the following offer:

1/2 price Sky for 12 months
£100 credited to account if you take Sky sports and/or movies.

So I rang them and after eventually getting the right department - "Winback" - I confirmed the deal and also that:

30 day rolling contract
No phone connection needed
£100 credited at start and only start taking money by DD once it runs out
Sky+ okay
No HD
No multiroom

So I went for the basic Variety mix plus Sky movies 2.
Costs £13.75 per month but only after the £100 runs out :-)

So free for approx. 7 months then I can cancel or keep the package for another 5 months at £13.75 per month after which it will revert to full price (or I can cancel then of course.)

I called 08442 410 651 and asked for the winback department then quoted "skytvb" as the offer code.

As I say, you may not get it if you did not get the mailer from Sky yourself, but you may have had it and binned it, or you may get the deal anyway if you ask :-)

ENDS 3rd July according to the mailer.

We were on the 1 year half price deal (including half price HD). They offered 6 months half price (but full price HD, or we could drop the HD) when we called to cancel at the end of that. You just have to be prepared to cancel as you can always re-sub under someone elses name (assuming you don't live alone :)).

Yes ditto, was on 1 year half price with free HD, then offered 6 months half price but pay for HD which i am coming to the end of.

I dont really want to cancel and resign up as i dont think they have any good introductory offers at the moment?

Same here except we dropped the HD rather paying a tenner for it.

Think our current 6 month deal comes to an end in August. If they don't offer us another half price deal I'll cancel a wait for the flyers to start coming through the door.

I went for this offer this morning having read the last offer on here, I think I called 08442 411634 and she offered me almost immediately - I only mentioned I knew of a few deals on at the moment...

I went for the sky sports pack as I want ESPN which isn't discounted but was told I couldn't have just the 1 sports channel, it had to be the sports 'pack' and the same goes for movies.

I might give them a call tonight to try and amend the order, but either way still a good deal as I can cancel after the £100 has run out

Depends who you speak to. Some of them won't bother checking your account and will just give you the deal.

I got an half price deal like that. Took me about six attempts before I was successful. The first five kept checking my account and telling me I hadn't been offered it.

To Anyone who's been offered this deal, were you out of contract and still subscribed or had you already cancelled before calling them?
This sounds like a "Win back" deal as opposed to a detentions promo.

i got this deal through the post, we left sky a couple of months back so I guess this is the 'Win back' deal

Was it a leaflet or a letter? Just asking as I'm wondering if its person/customer specific.
