Is this for classes or online??
#2
classes. you also get a free mini slimming world magazine each day from today.
#3
You still need to pay the £4.95 class fee, wife runs classes.
#4
Yes this is for the classes and only the membership fee that is free. Still saving £9.55 :) I hear woman magazine will also have the free membership in Tuesday's edition.

My wife has been doing this for the last 2 months and it really works and encourages the right way of eating (no processed foods).

I agree. I lost 5 stone on slimming world. It's an excellent eating plan that you maintain a healthy weight on and can apply to everyday meals. I wouldn't even call it a diet.

Expect this to be voted cold given the crap newspaper promoting it but it is a good deal.

It is a terrible news paper to be fair. I did mention the promotion is also available in this weeks woman magazine. But this works out a little cheaper if your counting your pennies :)

Quite straightforward. If you have a weight loss plan and stick to it, it usually works. It's the people who kid themselves about what they eat and fail to follow the exercise regime that invariably fail.

Not sure about The Mirror promotion but the Woman magazine one gives you £30 off joining online as well - although I imagine there are T&Cs.

We all know what we should be doing, but going to the class keeps you on track for loosing weight and keeping it off.

I have lost nearly five stone with slimming world. Gone from size 22 to 12/14 best thing I ever did. It's changed my life and I still eat loads just now it's healthier. I made some lovely friends at the class and will continue to go even when I hit my target weight as the support is really good.

I can't agree with the no processed foods bits. Mug Shots, Cup a Soups, packet pasta, Super Noodles, packet rice, Quorn, Smash, Diet Coke, to name a few.

I don't think anyone would turn up if she was! Her new show is good tv though. Pity she has absolutely no manners

Well done, that's some determination.....they will be wanting you featured in the Slimming World magazine :)

Watch out though, my wife joined Slimmers World last year, and they tried fining people £5 a week if they didn't turn up to every session without giving 48 hours' notice and a valid reason.

That's nothing new slimming clubs have always charged for weeks you don't attend in order to stop you skipping weeks.

Eat less. Do more.

It's that easy. No need to pay over the odds for quack schemes like this, which have been widely discredited.

Why would you even consider joining something which has a vested interest in keeping you going?

This is no way a quack scheme. It is a great way of encouraging healthy eating with the support of others to keep you going. I know how to lose weight but it's the willpower I don't have. I lost 2 St with slimming world, none of that stupid calorie counting, diet mentality! It's the best weight loss investment out there!

I won the groups miss slinky and only lost out on the greatest loser as someone in class had lost 7 stone at that point. Maybe you never know Once I hit target which hopefully will be by march but slimming world is a lifestyle change so I will be doing it for life. I still have cake, chocolate and wine but I jump back on plan following day. I know the plan now so could follow it at home only but I love the class and I have made lovely friends there so it's like a meet up with friends every week.

Once you hit target it's free membership for life. As long as you stay within 3 pounds of either side of your target. So you won't be paying forever. However slimming world is a business and they are there to make a profit but I don't care as what it's given me is priceless in terms of my health and happiness it was worth every penny. Sometimes it's good to find out the facts before posting (_;)

Just be careful not to lose too much, some of us guys prefer women with curves than size zeros ;)

is it a voucher or token collect

I know a lot of people who have lost loads on slimming world.

Fortunately I have a nutrition degree so I know what foods to eat and how to lose weight safely but it's a great idea for those who don't. I would just avoid those processed mug shot noodle type things. I exercise 5 times per week and find that is the easiest way to feel healthy and shed the weight.

One thing I would say is that the people who lead the groups don't necessarily have qualifications so if you have some serious weight to shift it might be worth consulting your gp or a dietician first :)
