Then they fitted two smoke alarms, one upstairs and one downstairs. It only took about 10 minutes.
What a great service for FREE too.

because the best chips are cooked in a traditional deep pan with lard, not the ****** chips done in plastic container with oil

Quick question that maybe one of you can answer before they do, this house has a smoke alarm system already set up, theres 3, one in the lving room, one at the top of the landing and one in the attic, they all seem to be linked up to eachother with wires, will they sort this and take them away, only reason i dont use them is ive lost one of them while decorating, the other 2 think there is something wrong with the missing one and are constantly bleeping :x
Thanks

no. they're hard wired smoke alarms. if you ask nicely they will put up new alarms and you can turn the hard wired ones off at the mains. if they're beepin they're faulty. open one and if it has a battery in (some have batterys in as back up in case your electricity is out) then its done and replacing the batteries will stop them beepin!!
That sounds like a good idea (10year battery) considering most people forget to replace the batteries in the smoke alarm
Are they in uniform???
My thoughts exactly. ;-)

Are they in uniform???
Me too - what a bonus - fire alarm AND fireman :)
Always rememebr that firemen love fresh cream cake and tea!!! We take the lorry with us so the kids can have a play too!
If you want one of these visits (they are free) pop into your local fire station and ask them about it. It is a huge part of our job today so you are not putting us out at all.
A working smoke alarm can and, believe me DOES save lives. Don't reply on hearing a fire because at night you probably wouldn't. The alarm gives you the valuable minutes needed to get you and your family out. This is the most important bit
whats the chances of them replacing the PC's as well as the chip pans ? and can you get quidco with this?
:whistling:
I beg your pardon, you had 3!!!! Blimey Charlie, your a game girl arn't you.;-)
