1st post so bear with me,

Argos currently have an offer on whereby if you buy a Sony MP3 player, you get £100 off the Sony speaker dock. According to the picture it looks like the CPF-NW001 model.

This dock is already reduced by £100 so when you add it to your basket you get it for free! After looking around this dock by itself is selling for £150 upwards on other sites! So you can buy the £59.99 MP3 player and get the dock for free!

The dock is for the NWS7 series but might be of use to someone.

Product Code for the dock is 534/6790

If you click on the 'go to deal' button it involves just those mp3 players, they are all shown at the bottom of the page.

Add one of those to your basket, then the dock which is also at the bottom of the page and your basket should say the value of the dock as 0.00p, i have just tried it and it works.

Let me know if you have any more problems.
#3
no. still doesn't work.
#4
That's strange, i have just tried it with any of the sony MP3 players and it works, i now have in my basket the Sony NWE002 (code 513/3264) which is £19.99p and the dock (code 534/6790) for a grand total of £19.99p.

ah got it to work. for some reason i picked the noise cancelling 1GB mp3 it doesn't give me the discount. but the 2GB version gives me discount. weird

Can I use my w810i on these...doesn't seem clear from searching on the web:?
#8
doesnt work for me
#9
I've got my ring & reserve confirmation email but will happily pass it on if it's confirmed these things don't work with my phone...
#10
Tried it at my local store. Ends up costing you £100, even with the right item.
#11
Doh...never mind then. Cheers for saving me a trip to town! :-)

This offer is only avaialble on-line when you buy for home delivery and will not work in store. You will be charged £99.99 for the dock no matter what MP3 you buy with it in-store.

And sadly in my area out of stock on-line with no expected delivery date so proabaly not getting anymore.

Hope that will save people a wasted trip.

Why has this been marked as expired?, it is still available online, and its a fantastic deal if you can get it, a £20 mp3 player with £100 speaker dock free, available is certain areas.

Name an area you can get it in. They are none anywhere :-(
#15
Bryan it's marked as expired because it's not instock online and they won't let you place orders for out of stock items, the mp3 players have a months lead time on them and by then they'll have plugged the hole thats allowing us to add the two items for £19.99

Would have been great, but as it is just a nice story to tell the kids about the one that got away.

Got this in store! Manager agreed to honour it!

There were plenty of stores with stock earlier.
#17
i tried to different store but neither would honor it, they tried phoning store support who said it must be an error, so don't expect it to stay online for long

Good for you! At least someone benefited. :)
Sadly i think most store managers are too tight to give this away fro nothing.

#22
hmm... u think u wil get it jason?
#23
well mixed replies so far

OK. my 2 local Argos stores both have these in stock and I've reserved them for in-store pick-up. Received an e-mail confirming that I've ordered them and total price is coming up at £19.99. Are they likely to honour this or will they use the "get out" clause on the e-mail which states that the reservation relates to the items only, not the price?
Anyone got any tips for arguing the toss if they try and charge full-whack?:)
#25
could argue it's discriminating to have the error honored in some case's and not other's. . .
be aware; i tried again at metrocentre using the reserve ref via the quick pay? machines but the system had been updated by then!! so 2 came out at £240!!
prob best option is be persistant and argue the toss

good luck . .

Well i believe that they use a slightly different system for instore and on-line orders - hence why it shows as fine online but but does not let you have it in-store.

Sadly this is an on-line offer only but they don't have the stock for on-line orders :whistling:

I managed to got one with the £60 mp3 yesterday. They said they realised they made a mistake after I paid because their HQ contacted them not to sell any.

The manager said, you got yourself a free £100 speakers .

but honestly, my initial intention was going after the noise cancelling mp3. so the £100 speaker is indeed a free item.
