This is my first deal so be gentle. Just seen this in todays daily mirror cant believe nobody else as not posted this, as part of the promotion for the new starwars movie clone wars the Sunday mirror is giving away a glossy poster but more importantly a free USB pen. No idea what size it is it doesnt say but the papers only 95p so its got to be worth it.

But it isn't free, you have to buy the paper.

Also does it mention how you redeem the product, unless it's actually in the paper? in a shop (eg wh smiths) or mail in with a cheque to "cover postage and packaging"?

Seems quite reasonable when someone has to be paid to pack it etc.

Lets not assume, the P&P at least vote it cold when you know it is excessive packaging. gona counter your cold with a hot :)

if this redeem in woolworths then it has to be cold. i always have vouchers and my local store never stock them.
#15
http://www.clonewarspromo.com/ it will be this offer. The website has the partnership with the newspaper. So expect £1.99 postage. It will no doubt be a 512mb stick too that are given away by everyone nowadays for marketing purposes with advertising content pre-installed on the drive space. As is the case here.

Similar link which quotes Daily Mirror as newspaper partners >http://www.entertaindvd.com/newspaper.html

If you click through to free usb memory stick it > Free Star wars Clone Wars USB Memory Stick, it goes to a free offer plus £2.99 postage starting on 15/8/08. No idea if this is the same product or postage costs etc

#18

#19

#20
Its not just the USB stick with the paper though - seems to be stickers ane maybe the sticker book as well (panini usualy). Quite good for that imo :)

Welcome to the club.:)

Have some heat & rep.
#23
I think it will come in the magazine pack to save on postage they are really trying to push this film to adults as only kids will really watch voted hot.
#24
If its free with the paper then its a hot deal, ill hold off voting until we know for definate
#25
Few points

1. you have to buy the paper
2. You will no doubt have to pay a stupid price for delivery, if its supposed to be free, really free, then it should be shrink wrapped with the paper, this is a typical marketing con playing on the word "FREE" and people really believe this !!!

It will cost pennies to make and they will make a fortune on excessive postage costs..

colder than my love life (and thts icey!)
#26
It's a marketing scam. Free USB stick that only hold 128mb and you have to pay £1.99 postage for it. It arrives and is full already of advertising material for the marketing partner of the newspaper. LMAO. I've heard advertising pays but for consumers to pay to receive advertising PMSL
#27
Has anyone seen the paper today? You take the voucher out and it gives you a free Starwars sticker book and 1 packet of stickers. Not bad for 65pence cost of the paper as it would cost £1.90 in all.
Keep the kids happy.
#28
This seems to be the Sunday Mirror offer http://www.clonewarspromo.co.uk/ (similar to the .com url posted earlier, 'cept it comes with a poster).
#29
Voted hot, for those of you not bothered about the Clone Wars branding and wanting to make their money go a little further have a look at this:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/226314/showthread.php?p=2713353&posted=1#post2713353

Working out the maths it's better value because you get 192 mb for £2.97 (three lots of 64mb).
I know it has the content and poster but if you're not bothered about that, it might be worth a look.

According to expansive media's usb promotional pdf http://www.expansivemedia.com/uploads/USBPromotionsBrochure.pdf it says that the usb drives it uses are 256MB in size.
