Very nice avatar sir!

Been using this for a while now. Great if you want an extra shot and don't want to push you coffee over £3 (!!!) doing so.
#8
Prefer Costa coffee and they have a decent loyalty card (not a Prepay like this). You get 5 points (5p) for every £1 spent and I think it's an extra 100 points when you register online also.

You can also combine the freebies.

It's been this way for ages. Is perfect at Christmas - Dark Cherry extra shot latte with whipped cream - get about £1.50 off :P.
#11
You can only use the card in prper Starbucks outlets, not the franchised outlets. :-(
So the nearest for us is Preston

I think the card is good (I like my shot of favour) but note motorway stations don't take them...

as markone stated, it's a pain when you get to a place, and find they won't accept your card, because it's a franchise outlet - lots at motorway services are like this, for example.

Otherwise, your card can also be used abroad for the benefits, and you get a small swipe card to fix on your keyring, so you don't stuff your purse or wallet up with even more carrds.

I usually plump for an extra shot in my drink.

Anyone can also save cash per drink, if you take a mug/flask etc for them to fill, I think it's 25p per cup saved,. no need to be a card holder.

This is a fantastic offer - I've been using it a lot since they launched around a year ago!

I just wanted to flag that you can combine benefits - so my drink of choice is a tall, extra shot, sugar free vanilla, soy latte... in my own take away cup - so this means I get my perfect drink for £1.85, a saving of £1.20.

This makes it a much better price than the other chains, for a coffee I like a lot more!

In addition - they don't often shout about this - but all Starbucks offer a free filter coffee refill, so if you are drinking in, this is another great bonus. To get this you just take your mug to the serving end, and the barista will fill it up for you.

And finally, the free wifi is a fantastic benefit. You need to have registered your card for this to work - but it makes using Starbucks as a mobile office when you're out and about a great idea.

Can you tell I love Starbucks?!

If you have access to BTopenzone ie username and password, it will work in starbucks, if you only have a registered starbucks card, it will work in any starbucks but not at other Btopenzone sites

The 50p off filter is great. Combine that and everyday I'm kept caffeined up with a grande Vanilla filter with whipped cream for £1.10

Free drip coffee refills are definitely still available - I had one last weekend. Effectively means you get two cups of filter coffee for the £1, which isn't bad at all imho :)
#26
Do you get the free filter coffee refill only if you've bought filter coffee originally?

If anyone lives near a Giraffe restaurant you really should check out their coffee. Best coffee ever and I know a thing or two about coffee. It's also super cheap, think it's £2 or less for a large coffee.
Trust me, go and check it out.

I generally prefer Café Nero, as opposed to the reast of the chain coffee outlets.

But I may have to give this a bash, for a £1.00 filter coffee and the potential for a refill !!!

I can also confirm the freebie combination, and Starbucks (not franchises) will not question.

For example, my drink of choice is a tall coffee frapuccino, priced at £2.60. I then add 2 shots and whipped cream on top, costing .95p, but when the card is swiped, it goes back down to £2.60.

Another tip I read somewhere is that when you order your drink of choice, request that it be put in a bigger cup (make up an excsue if you have to like you need the cup afterwards for something). The barista making the order will almost always give you more than the original size you purchased, so that gives you a bit extra in there!

I prefer Costa too, but to get a free large latte you need to spend £51. OK as a treat, but for a regular coffee whilst out working I cope well with McD's lattes at £1.69, with a free one every 6. Starbucks once tried serving me a cappuccino which was 5" of froth with about 1/2" of milk/coffee in the bottom, and I find I NEED their extra shot as the flavour is so weak. Costly of Nero, unless there's a decent little independent whom are often way better than the large franchise places.
#31
I thought you were only entitled to one of the extras for free, either an extra shot OR syrup OR cream. If that's the case, then I'd get an extra shot and syrup each time in a wet latte.

Also can also confirm free refills on the filter coffee. And with it being a prepaid card, it feels like a free coffee if you've not used it for a while and forgot how much was on there.

McDonalds coffee tastes like rat wee. I prefer Costa or Nero to Starbucks as they taste less dumbed down, but you can't fault the Starbucks loyalty plan. Whoever is in charge of the loyalty initiatives at Costa/Nero should be slapped very hard.

Guess if you put enough other rubbbish with Starbucks insipid coffee it tastes of something (doubt its coffee though).

McD's use Kenco beans through an automatic bean'to'cup machine, so it actually is quite a decent cup of coffee. Almost everyone I know who drinks coffee regularly has no complaints, especially at the price. You might not get the ambience of a decent coffee house, have to mix it with the dregs of our society, and would be mad to try any of their food offerings, but the coffee is OK. Everyone I know shares my criticism of Starbucks milky tasteless offerings though.

Why are we comparing maccyd's to starbucks? Starbucks is overpriced tosh - good business though. McDonalds to me actually gives some value for money.

Typo on bottom left offer "free syrup for you dirnk"
Some big company they are

Personally, I've yet to find a coffee that doesn't taste like rat wee, when I start thinking about it, especially when it's weak (I can't stand strong coffee), so although I've got a starbucks card, I don't get all the extra shots of this or that as none of it goes well in tea
