Buy a £20 Starbucks Gift Card and get a free Tall Drink.

I bought one with the credit already on my mobile app and it worked. so I bought a gift card with prepaid credit.

Add the card onto the Starbucks App and spend it again on another card. Technically unlimited until the offer ends and it costs you nothing (If you already have the credit on your account)

Seen it at J29a M1 Starbucks but they said it's valid in most stores.

Shared Via The HUKD App For Android.

---------------------------

Update: Sorry about not describing clearly enough - I posted on my mobile.

If you have a Starbucks Gift Card/App Account already;
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Use £20 of the credit to buy a physical £20 Gift Card instore and get a drink in the same transaction (Tall) for FREE.

Add the card to the app, and transfer it back to your virtual card, then repeat as necessary.

If you do not have a Starbucks App/Giftcard;
-----------------------------------------------------------

Buy a £20 Gift Card with a FREE tall drink - Pay with Cash/card.

Download the Starbucks App then add your card to a new account.

Buy another £20 Gift Card with the mobile account "Pay by mobile" and use the same £20 to buy another gift card and get another free drink, then register that card onto the app to pay for the next one.

So - You are basically buying a gift card with a gift card and getting a free drink each time.

The Barista at Starbucks thought it was impressive too :D

Can you be more specific how you did it?
#3
You transfer from one app to another app? So you top up 20 pound once
#4

Add £20 as future credit then buy gift card with credit. Then use gift card credit to buy another.

:D Didn't take long for the Tax comments to start.

I am sure Costa take advantage of many tax avoidance schemes as well as most of the corporate world. This is a deal site, not a "Tax Debate" site. If you would rather buy a coffee than get a free one, suit yourself

Knowing how they trade....there could be some business benefit in showing a record of transactions...

Basically £20= unlimited drinks...shame I can't get £20 back....don't want to give them a penny!

The poster states the offer is from 15th to 24th December, although it seems most stores have started it early.

Seems a bit hit and miss. Some stores just put it through and some dont. It IS possible as I have done it 7 times now.

I even got stars for the transaction.

do you know how they put it through the till? the guy at my store was very much willing to do it but couldn't find a way - in the end he just gave me a drink and a physical gift card empty and said transfer it yourself from phone to new card. so complicated - any tips on how your baristas have processed it?

I am not sure TBH, they put the card through the till as a new activation, charged for a drink and applied a promotional discount to make it £20, then I scanned the barcode on my phone when he/she says "That's £20 please"

I even get stars :D

when i tried to pay for the £20 with the app it came up as a transfer of a balance and wouldn't work - confused.
