Bought a reusable coffee mug at Subway yesterday. They are 2.49 and every time you use it when you buy a sub till Aug you get a free coffee/tea/

Coffee normally 1.39 so not too bad a deal I thought, even just to get the mug.

Ok... does the mug have a lid? I get subway when im on the go... would not like to get a free tea/coffee in a mug and then spill it all over my car ....
#9
Yes, a screw top lid with a slidy bit to drink out of.
#10
Who the hell carries a mug around ? :p

I've been burned with subway "deals" before. Can anyone confirm this is nationwide
#12
no not nationwide

Subway is one of those places I hate going to because there is always someone with a 'booklet' of 'deals' in front of me in the queue. It's completely random, they give books to students, and deals are printed everywhere, the rest of us have to search the web and find a way of not overpaying.....

Does my male bits right in too.

Doubt if the wee, used to be a fishshop sub has any of the mugs though, but I'll try.

Cheers op.

Just ask the staff for a voucher booklet. They're more than likely to have some.

I like how they offer hot drinks when the warmer weather starts and cold drinks with ice during the winter months. Sly marketing ;)

Can this mug be used when you buy a sub of the day?
And can you get free cappuccino with it?

Ut's impossible to drink out of those mugs without either scalding your lips or dribbling tea/coffee on your trousers.

They're heading the way of Domino's, where everything is twice the price it should be and they dish out endless 50% off, two-for-one etc. It's only a bargain if you have the vouchers. I can't be bothered with vouchers, cards, loyalty points and all the rubbish - so I just look at the standard prices and don't buy if they're too high.

As for this free refill mug - I can imagine some chavs handing over mugs caked in filth to be filled. This must surely contravine some H&S law, seeing Subway can't guarantee they're not going to cross contaminate their own equipment.

I don't see how that is any different than a clothes shop offering a sale on their summer range at the start of winter and vice versa. If demand falls you offer incentives, that's just business.

I've had the experience of some franchise subways not offering to take the vouchers aswell.... really annoying.

These did get me through university though. Voucher for upgrades to foot long subs for free in the freshers magazine. So we took 40 copies of the freshers magazine allowing free upgrades on subs for pretty much most of the year.... Result :-D

ok may be nationwide as our stores have just gotten deliveries of a few hundred mugs, ( i work in the hull one's)

Got one from the Chorlton (Gtr Manchester) Subway today, but it was £2.99 although it includes hot or cold drinks and lasts till the end of June i think. HTH

Bargain shorts in the winter will be just fine for the next summer - likewise a discounted coat in the spring/summer sales will keep for the next winter.
I take it you'll be keeping your warm incentive based drink through the summer ready for the next winter then!?!
Not all things are so easily comparable, that's just common sense.

I've just had my first Sub from subway in Chesterfield and loved it! Got the mug and think it's great. Got a free diet coke in it, sat in and had my sub and then refilled it afterwards.

And YES, I got it WITH the sub of the day (Saturday's was Ham). Cost £2.99 for the mug, £1.99 for the sub (6").
