i may have misread the bundle fine print but their appears to be a £20 cashback on the 19inch monitor included in one of the bundle options

http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?quicklinx=4Z2G

so price would be £247.89 after cashback, not bad for a starter pc package

While these PCs are fairly cheap I have to say they seem rather old technology. By my guess these are about 2 years old.

The AMD Sempron is a very old (and slow) CPU.

Even the software included says the 2005 version of Norton:

> Norton AntiVirus 2005 (60 days of live updates)

It also says it is a DVD ROM so that seems to indicate there is no CD or DVD writer included so you cannot create CDs or DVDs (although to be fair you can buy a DVD writer for under £20).

So they are probably fine as a PC for the kids for just surfing the net and maybe some e-mail, but not much more, and not suitable for playing games.

Note if you click on the link to go to the Dabs web site the title says:
"FREE TFT when you buy this high performance HP dx2250 desktop PC"

I think "high performance" is stretching things a bit (or a lot) and they could almost be sued under the trades description act.

I think this is a much better deal - HP Dx2250 Business Desktop Pc Athlon 64 X2 5000 2gb 160gb, No Floppy, Sata Dvd+/-rw, Win Xp Pro, £298.83 delivered and it qualifies for the current HP £50 cashback deal so the real price is £248.83!
