Where is this offer? I can't see any mention of it - also seems a bit unrealistic to me?

the offer is with Toshiba and who else will give you a free camcorder with a laptop seems god to me and is a good laptop too.

If true definitelty a good deal, especially if it would work with a laptop already on sale.

Deal definitely active...check out banner on page at bottom. Heat added.

Good deal, though the Camera is available for circa £100, rather than the RRP of £130.

Personally i'd go for this i3 350, 2GB ram, 320GB HDD, Intel HD GPU, 15.6" with 3.5% cashback via quidco cashback.

I'm not sure how the free camcorder deal works - it looks like the retailer themselves handle it?

Laskys seem to be handling it by making the camcorder free if you put it in your basket along with a qualifying laptop.

Surely this is a much better laptop for less money, unless you really want the camera.

Looks to me that you gain a HD camcorder and loose HD on your notebook. Funny really :)
I'd prefer to have HD on my notebook (and use my compact camera).

BTW, the free Toshiba S20 camcorder is available from Tesco for £89 (probably cheaper elsewhere) or £59 refurb with warranty. This puts a question mark on this deal for me.

That's a given.....

If you value the camcorder at it's retail price of £100, that would put a price of £329.99 on the laptop I linked to.

Pretty good for an i3 350 with 320GB HDD; drop in a 2GB 1066MHz sodimm for ~£20 and you're sorted. Though admittedly it isn't *that* much better value than the Acer you linked to.

Maybe there's a deal out there somewhere that exploits this promotion more fully.

Op should modify title, as it isn't strictly accurate. It's missing an 's'.

lol acer better than toshiba.....thats like saying a trabant is better than a bmw....toshiba used to make by far the best laptops but they lost their way and the likes of Dell and Saumsung are better now imo but Acer's are dreadful quality and as for their support, you may as well try contacting ET instead

If you do a google search, you will find a report stating Toshiba 2nd best for reliability over a 3 year period, only just beaten by Asus (guess where Acer is ), good deal and could always sell camcorder to lower price.

this isnt a deal! you getting what you pay for.

laptop arent worth there price tags they have been given, a week ago i got i5-460m with a good dedicated graphics card, scored 600 on benchmark, for £500. i wouldnt call this a deal, not voting either way.
