It's time for me to become an "immature" student again !
Great find. Thanks.
Lovely bargain.
I got Windows 7 Pro for £40 from S4S.
Tempted to buy the Kaspersky from there. Is it better than Norton?
Looks good, the one I need states that it can be installed on 2 PC's but I have 4 in the house. I take it you really cannot install it on more than 2 PC's? Does it stop you doing it in some way?
Requires activation in the same way as Windows, so you're only entitled, and can install, on the number of computers the licence states.

BTW, Office 2010 has just hit RTM so should be available from May (volume licence customers and possibly students) or June (everyone else); rather than the 6 months it says!
Almost seems to good to be true, so I called them as my son is only in Primary 1.

They asked if his school was listed on their website, I checked and said it was, their response was yes you can buy these products at the prices listed on the web. As I was so shocked that I could buy a £300+ programme for less then £50 I just had to ask about the legalities of this website, was assured all was above board and that I could speak to the authorities if I wanted to check (he actually gave me telephone numbers and email addresses), so looks to be legit.

Great find, will look to be purchasing a few items in the coming weeks / months as seemingly I have a couple of non genuine microsoft products on my PC, no idea how they got there ;-D

Cheaper here as these prices include delivery.

I noticed that however they all say that you can only install them on 1 PC, so if you have a few in the house then it works out more expensive.

It is £47.34 there so can't see where you are getting it cheaper, unless you are on about the student version, which is missing Access and several other programs.
OP; "I have just ordered Office 2007 Standard at £38.99 + Postage which comes to a total of £40.94.

According to this Microsoft site they will only upgrade for like for like.

Can you show where you saw you'll recieve the 2010 pro version after buying the standard 2007 version?

Click question 3.

You are able to install on two PCs despite what it says. This is the same product as that sold by Software for Students.
Thanks for the RM link, for me it actually says on the page:

"You can install this software on up to 2 computers. E.g. one could be a desktop and the other on a portable device like a netbook. Both should be for the exclusive use of the licence holder (the student!)."

You're correct it should be the same as the Software for Students product, however wondering if the upgrade to 2010 Pro Plus will still apply since not mentioned anywhere but S4S (though if indeed true and it's the only student 2010 version, then guess it would have to!) and how exactly the upgrade process would work? S4S say they will provide download instructions, presumably with RM you'd have to go through Microsoft direct?
Further research - taken from Microsoft's Tech Guarantee program website:

* I purchased Office 2007 through the Student Select program; am I eligible for the Tech Guarantee?

No - Office 2007 product that is purchased through the Student Select program is not eligible for the Office 2010 Tech Guarantee.

* I purchased Office 2007 from my school – am I eligible for the Office 2010 Technology Guarantee?

If you purchased your qualifying Office product through your educational institution during the eligibility period you may qualify for an Office 2010 upgrade but are not eligible to download Office 2010 via the online upgrade. Please return to the retailer where you purchased Office 2007 to learn more about and redeem your Tech Guarantee offer. Tech Guarantee program details, eligibility and cost of the upgrade may vary from retailer to retailer.

To me it seems like the S4S and RM versions are the latter and thus it's up to each of the retailers to honour and deal with the upgrade process. Since RM haven't mentioned anything about this, I think it would be safer to stick with S4S for now.
I have just recieved an email from software4students this morning to say this is now eligible to claim,
So I have logged in and ordered Office 2010 for £8 (£5 For download).
So I should recieve by the end of the week!
