You can enjoy a 90 day upgrade to US Airway's Frequent Flier scheme Preferred Customer Silver Status. Ever wonder why others get upgraded, but not you?

This gives you opportunity for upgrades incl Unlimited upgrades in the US, 25% bonus miles etc, if you're planning to fly with them, or another Star Alliance airline member in the next 3 months, including the UK's BMI, Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines,Austrian, EGYPTAIR,LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa. Scandinavian Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Singapore Airlines, South African, Spanair, SWISS, TAP Portugal, THAI, Turkish Airlines, United, US Airways.

If you fly enough trips, you keep the status afterwards, otherwise you revert back to standard membership level. You can save money too, as members get free baggage on certain flights! Silver members get 25% more frequent fliers per flight too, and these will be retained once the status prom ends, so you'll earn free flights more quickly too. So, join their frequent flier club, 'Preferred Customer' and then upgrade your membership for free to Silver, and wait for your bonus miles, upgrades, private check-in and security queue options etc.

Takes around 14 days for their admin to complete it. Terms and Conditions don't exclude members from UK, must join and apply before end of August 2009. So, membership, say, from early Sept through December this year.

Might not be of use to many people but this is useful to me so thanks for spotting! Even if you don't get much from being Silver at least you can check-in in the non-coach line which is something.
awesome cheers, will mean free upgrades for me!
It should mean free upgrades, more frequent flier miles earned per flight, free baggage checked in etc. Plus a faster route to getting a higher level status, if you fly alot, as you're already at a high level with this, and 3 months to earn more!

Come on, how much is a free upgrade from Economy to Business Class etc worth? And this is freeeeeeeee ;)

must be applied for by the end of August though!

Thank you for beating me with the Photo loading, whoever did this!!
Good spot, all I need now is a trip that qualifies :-)

Should be good on any flight on the group of Airlines, though even better if you fly with US Airways.

I think under the terms of this offer you need to fly with US Airways, not a partner airline:

Only elite qualifying flights earned on flights operated by US Airways and US Airways Express can be applied toward the Trial Preferred program. Only bookings made after member's status has been upgraded reflect member's new status.
Just about to book a trip with US Air, so this will come in very handy! Thank you.
oops meant to vote hot, voted cold by mistake, sorry
hot from me am flying with them in 4 weeks so now no checked bag fees so saved $80 for the pair of us and maybe even an upgrade on the flight.

we all do this sort of thing, but glad that a few people are benefitting for a few months, at a minimum, and the extra mileage wont expirfe
