When they have completed the check they will then give you a long list of repairs that need doing,at their usual dealership prices:whistling:

Great deal, but as said you'll have to spend a day at the garage being very firm in saying no to the hard sale for unnecessary repairs.
Hot!

P.S.: When you say Mail, I guess youi mean the Daily Mail, am I right?

Well in yesterdays Daily Mail:

"Keep you cool this summer with a £35 Safety Check & Top Up from Vauxhall"

The check up costs £35 it's NOT FREE, the safety pack supposedly worth £24.99 is free with the newspaper voucher when you pay for the check-up.

Nope sorry, it's the Daily Mail. I just double checked the date of the post and it was posted on saturday :-( damn!

Was looking forward to getting this today

After the experiences I've had with Vauxhall garages I wouldn't take it for a safety check if they paid me let alone free!

Has anyone got a spare voucher, totally missed this one and a little bit gutted to be honest :(
#17
Yes I also need one.

Mine is under warranty so no sales pitch for any repairs.

So your warranty covers brakes (they'll need replacing, Sir!), tyres (only 3 mm left on them Sir!), clutch (seems to have a slight rotational noise) and other such tosh. Vx tried to con me to get my brakes and disks replaced and tyres. When I asked them to repeat, bearing in mind that I told them I was a Chartered Engineer, they explained that the disks were scored (they were not) the pads were worn (really? all pads are worn unless new - they were at 20% marker) and that my tyres had 4mm of tread on them (the legal minimum is 1.6mm within the centre 75% of the tyre). Not all are like this, granted, but there is nowt in life such as a free lunch..........
