It actually only checks if your area has been upgraded yet. It does not automatically upgrade you
#2
Just filled out the form and still have to wait 2 months.
Boo:whistling:
#3
cheers for that
#4
Registered Saturday did speed test yesterday and I am now up to 10mb impressed. Mind you they have increased the price by £2,:) as the 2mb went up by £2.:)
#5
Mmm called them last week and they said the upgrade would happen automatically anytime between now and OCTOBER!!
#6
I was under the impression that if you took the optional speed upgrade it also included a far more restrictive download policy so not sure this is actually a good deal!
#7
Website is now running like a dog! lol
#8
Thanks for that, they are giving me new modem as well!

Thanks for that, saves me waiting till October!
#12
Registered and it said it will upgrade mine within the next couple of days and will send me an email to confirm when it has happened. Voted HOT.

You're kidding right??

There's a drop down box where the address is to change it to something else... :?
#16

Well it's a £2 increase whether you like it or not so it is kinda!!
#19
So what's the benefit for people already paying for the L package or does the old M now cost the same?

Just drop down the tag to your email ID ( NTL, Virgin etc)

Just registered and it said thank you for your interest, your modem is suitable for 10mb. Said nothing about any dates that it would be upgraded on.

dont know if ne1 else has had the same experience but as far as im concerned Virgin are a joke. Took 1 month to install (they cancelled 4 times) and when they finally did install the picture was dire (watching through HDMI) and the "free" HD was 1 channel!!!!

Just my experience but me personally I wouldnt use Virgin if THEY paid ME. Needless to say Virgin collecting on Tuesday Sky being installed same day :D

nice 1 dude

as far as I know youre given a username and password when you sign up to the service, check in the box of any installation cds or documentation you may have from when you signed up.

No it doesn't - see many other people's messages that state they have to wait 2 months. It only seems to work if they have already upgraded your area
#25
Pretty sure this has been posted before?
#26
Worked for me will be upgraded in next few days
Voted hot n rep added
Shame Virgin aren't publishing this:x

They have been informing customers about this for ages now. I guess it's your own fault for not reading the letters.

I changed to e-billing ages ago to avoid the charge.
#37
dont know why expired, worked for me
thanks OP
#38
Why expired ? explain please.
#39
Just gone through and got the 'in the next couple of months' message :(

Funnily enough our bill has gone up from this month though!

You mean there is a more restricted download limit?
For christs sake, they've capped us already although aren't admitting it, it means that streaming radio or even watching a youtube video is impossible.
