Vodafone have an interesting quirk in their authenication to get the content control bar lifted via their online account system. They charge £1 to your credit card but immediately apply a £2.50 credit to your account, netting a £1.50 profit.

Obviously you need to be 18+, have a credit card, have a Vodafone online account (if you're a Vodafone customer but don't have an online account you can set one up just for this), not mind the fact the Vodafone will no longer censor your web content and not have previously had the content control bar lifted, but for 30 seconds work you can't really complain at something for nothing.

So shouldn't the title read "Free" £1.50 Vodafone credit .... not the £2.50 it says at the moment?

I debated and changed it a few times, added clarification now.

Edit: This is HUKD, yes? A way to get £1.50 for nowt getting voted cold? Surely some people aren't sad enough to vote cold because of semantics in the title...?

I was doing this anyway and it only took about 30 seconds. About as free as money is ever going to get, in my opinion.

Pay as you go only apparently

Well yes it would be as to have a contract phone in your name you need to be over 18 so no need for a credit card check in the first instance
