I've just completed the transaction on this. No postage cost or fee or extension of contract.
It was easy, just a few clicks once you sign in with your sky ID.
It said from the 27th, which is when I assume they will process the applications and I will receive in 14 days

Cant see that it does in the t's and c's, but is anyone clear one way or another whether claiming the free booster will reset a 12 month subscription or not?

I've just been onto Sky about this because the booster wouldn't add to my order. I was told they made a mistake and it's not available until 27th December.

Just remember folks... this booster will take some bandwidth and distribute it to its new place... therefore taking some bandwidth from the actual hub... just know what a booster does... only switch it on when you need it in a particular black spot (e.g. extension, third floor)... otherwise speed suffers somewhat (bigger households will feel it more, as more users)

I don't think that's true. The booster won't "hog" and "reserve" part of the total bandwidth. It will only use bandwidth as and when needed. E.g. if you have 20meg connection and a laptop connected to the booster is downloading something at a speed of 20meg, it will use up your entire bandwidth. But when the laptop is idle and no traffic through the booster, anything connected to the hub will still get 20meg available.

WHOOOOOO!!! SUCSESS!!! I had screenshots of the original website from a cached server where it shows no dates or no dates in the T&C's at the bottom - the new site does - anyway I send these to the sky chat person and have managed to get them to place my order today!

i am an o2 customer moving to sky due to the switchover, and i just rang sky to ask for this but they said i am still on the o2 plan so said i am not eligible for this and routed me through to o2. spoke to o2 who have some new routers out compared to what ive been using. apparently their latest version 5 router (TG582N) is pants and they have had many complaints. their version 4 router (THOMSON TG587nV2) is meant to be very good so worth checking if you dont have that then call up and they will send you one out for free.

The Sky Wireless Booster is just a wifi repeater. "Essentially, they pick up a wireless signal just like your tablet or laptop, then rebroadcast that signal, giving you a second access point to connect to"
