Sky Advisor - 18:21
Yes, there is some technical error with the link for now, so you can try to claim Free Booster after 24 hours and you can do that Online.
Sky Advisor - 18:22
If not please get back to us, wherein we will transfer the chat to our sales team.
Me - 18:23
alright, would that be the same for Sky Hub as well?
Sky Advisor - 18:24
Sorry, I see there is offer updated regarding Sky Hub on our floor yet.

After many attempts my order has gone through and I've just ordered the booster :-)
#403
Just did this and it worked using Chrome :D
#404
Managed to finally get one ordered. Used safari on my iphone. Must be intermittent though as I'm now struggling to order one for my parents
#405
Could someone tell me what the Sky Hub offer is? The website says it's £69?
#406
After spending the day going round in circles, I have just managed to order mine, so glitch may now be fixed:-)
#407
Order has now been placed

We have Fibre and able to order the booster no problem for free but the Hub is £69

My mum has broadband and can't order the booster but can order the Hub for free

Strange!!!!

I have the white hub but would prefer the black so I can get rid of the open reach box
#409
Just went on live chat and the sky advisor said there was no offer for a free sky hub? :/
#410
Anybody tried topcashback?
#411
Order the free booster, had confirmation, received email with order number...
Now I've had an email saying contact sky urgently regarding my order. Rang them and they told me no orders are being processed due to technical error.

Not bothering with it, as it says you are entering into a contract with them. I might leave them as we are paying over £80 a month and they are getting more and more expensive and the internet is rubbish speed 10 mbs as its not fibre optic

Have you rang to ask if they can do anything about it? If you do go straight to the "thinking of leaving"option - they can offer much better deals than CS...just look at my screen shot about 4 hours ago, it works!
#414
Seems you need to get the free Sky hub first. Can't be bothered as I currently use a different router I want to stick with. More trouble than it's worth I'm guessing if they end up changing passwords etc.
#415
It lets me order it but my monthly bill goes up £13.10

Current monthly cost

£36.80

New monthly cost with offers

£36.80 then £49.90

New one off cost

£0

Anyone else get this?
#416
I had errors all day, just managed to order it, seems okay now. 2155 on 27/12/13.
#417
Didn't go thru, gives me this cr ap:
Based on the items you have selected, you'll need to add one of the following to your basket before you can check out:
- Sky Entertainment, Sky Entertainment Extra or Sky Entertainment Extra+
- A Sky+HD or Sky+HD 2TB box

thought i would try ie rather than chrome.

went all round the houses, upgrade, get it now free. clicked all the buttons available and finally it put the order through! the website is not working properly but if you click all the upgrade and get it now buttons etc you may just get lucky. :3

not sure if this will be of any use to be honest. how good is it at boosting signal? may be a pile of rubbish.

mine went up slightly so i am hoping that it is an error rather than my bill actually going up. :(

Mine went up around 35 a month, rang sky they said that the new total is the total.I Will pay when my current contract runs out in 11 month time so will just keep an eye on things just in case

Can't order as well

Funny how sky tv adds though

Proper sly company
#422
it's not too clear, getting this booster, does it tie you into a 12 month contract?

I have 2 - 3 months remaining with them on £7.50 per month deal, if it extends this for a year, then I will be paying £20+ per month for the remaining 9 - 10 months oO

Sky really don't do themselves any favours do they.
Placed my order (worked for me) but then got an "urgent call me about your order" email. Called them, typically rubbish and issue on hold.
#425
I called got the same story but just checked online and got mine ordered , cheers
#426

Heya people have had my order accepted.. I'm concerned this doesn't automatically sign me up for another 12 months..!! I may have to bell them and confirm...anyone got any info on this?
[helper]#429
A wifi extender from amazon will set you back only £15 compared to the hassle from SKY. Everytime I add the wifi booster, my monthly bill jumps up by £20 ! SKY are basically mercenaries who do not care for customers who stay with them. Best option is to keep changing the provider as with all other things.

For all people woth problems, when adding to your basket. .. a blue bar above appears... simply choose 'switch to old sky shop' option within blue bar
Then magically appears in your basket. New shop has bugs.... does it work now people???
#432
Was concerned about this extending your contract to 12 months.

gave sky a phone this morning, they could not give me a straight answer, which rang alarms bells.

waiting for a supervisor to give me a phone back...

I have a screen shot of the T & C where it mentions nothing about contract and a sky advisor chat saying that it doesn't - think I should be covered otherwise

Surely you still need the open reach box for the Fibre coming into the house??

The new sky hub the fibre modem built in. I got sky fibre installed about 2 months ago and you just plug the filter into BT master socket and connect cable from filter to hub, no engineer visit required to house and have been getting 40 meg downloads and 10 meg uploads ever since, and that's coming from only a 4 meg ADSL package :D

Brilliant. Just worked for me. I had this bug yesterday and inadvertently 'ordered' the same package as I'm on for the same price. I'll call sky a bit later to make sure they haven't signed me up for another 12 months
