Just went to the Oxford Street/Bond Street HMV to check if they still had the £35 Guitar Hero III with wireless guitar - they still do, by the way.
They are offering a Free Wireless Guitar when Purchasing a Guitar Hero Bundle. Apparently PS3 was not included, because they don't have the stand alone wireless guitar in stock.
So I asked if I could buy a £35 GHIII PS3 bundle and get a free PS2 wireless guitar. It worked.
First post and not native english, so be patient.

READ THIS POST FOR THE LOWDOWN.
Thanks OP - you ROCK! and now thanks to you, so do I. This is a SWEET deal. Here are some details i collected on the scenario. (OP, maybe edit your top level description to add in some of these details to save readers having to check thru the entire chain/save them time).
Just picked up a copy of GH3 for the Wii and the additional controller.
Im in London, so tried the Bond Street branch first - took awhile, but finally found the BLACK DVD CASES WITH THE DEAL PRINTED OUT ON THEM. There were no green signs around, so i assume they were taken down.
The deal is get a free additional controller for PS, XBOX or WII with ANY GUITAR HERO BUNDLE (including ON TOUR and III). This is PRINTED on the voucher in the dvd case and resolves the previous ambiguity.
IN Bond Street, The LOCATION of the DVD CASES (which are BLACK and have BLACK VOUCHER on their covers) is next to the downstairs escalators on the guitar hero accessories rack. They were kinda hard to find due to being black on a black stand and not with the actual other Wii or Xbox gear, but this will save you time. Take the DVD case with voucher up to the counter and they fetch the item from stock.
Now for the WII they had just run out of stock, at Bond street they only have XBox and PS controllers for the freebies, but plenty of the £35 GH3 packs to match them with (Wii or otherwise). I asked the very helpful guy there where else i could try - he said Oxford Street(the one towards tottenham court rd). So i went up there, asked the guy at the game counter, and he said they had a few Wii controllers in stock so i picked it up there. A Sweet deal indeed.
The Bond Street chap explained what the scene is : The bond st and oxfo street shops have a bunch of excess controllers in their stores and the managers told them (in store) to give away a free one with the bundles. This is store specific, but is happening around the country. You wont know until you try a store because the controllers being given away are the controllers originally given away free with PRE ORDERS. Hence, any store which accepts preorders or a largish HMV should have some extra controllers out back they are trying to clear out to make room.
Each store will be different tho, and they cant check which stores have stock cos these pre-order freebies are not on the system, just in each stores backroom gathering dust.
The controller being given away is a GH3 compatible controller - the Gibson model. It says Guitar Hero on it, doesnt say GH3, but in the packaging it states compatible with GH3 so dont worry.
- you need to try each store IN STORE to know if they have them in stock; dont just phone or such. I tried that and no one knew about it. In store by comparison they knew. Weird.
- they are excess pre-order controllers which are being given away free; hence try bigger stores if you can.
- if you are in london, as at 8.30pm Friday(closing time) - Bond St has xbox and ps controllers, Oxford St has a FEW wii, and a bunch of xbos and ps controllers to give away. Thats all the stock i know about sorry.
- if you are in london and going to BondStreet, use my notes above to simply find the DVD voucher and use it at the til to save any faffing around by staff members needing to go get their boss to confirm...etc... as its an instore deal.
Good luck. I know there is a lot of detail in there but just trying to help out those who want the info/background.
BTW - every HMV store i saw in London has absolutely LOADS of excess GH,GHWT and RockBand kit they are trying desperately to get rid of. Tons of it piled up. I am sure as eggs are eggs HMV will be discounting this stuff again, and IN STORE only, as its just consuming too much floorspace, which is expensive real estate in ole london town. I think the pricing will halve again to be frank - so if you arent getting a spare controller, might be worth holding off a week or more as HMV must be bricking it with this stuff not moving. I would extrapolate that similar scenario exists outside london.
Superb deal OP. Many MANY thanks. :-)
