I think some people get free delivery from SPV (I don't know how) otherwise delivery is £4.99. Still cheaper than amazon that sell this hard drive for £55.98 and argos sell this for £64.99.

Bryan
Ok, would someone like to tell me why this has been voted cold, where can you find it cheaper than this? Some people on this brilliant website don't deserve to be on here.

Hi Bryan839, don't feel de-motivated from cold votes, they happen a lot nowadays :) I've update the post to include the postage charge, which we usually try to show here. I've not heard of people getting free shipping from SVP, but they do sometimes have 99p shipping weekends.
My guess is that it's within £10 of being a 250GB from various places (isn't there an Amazon deal right now at that price?) so people don't think the value is there.

But yes it is much more helpful if people could say why exactly when they vote cold...
It's not that great a deal unfortunately.
E.g. MicroAnvika do a 250gb drive at £50 (+ p&p if you order over net rather than collect yourself). This represents 20p per Gb, rather than your 25p per Gb.

Also if you use these drives (like most people) with Music video and data, youll find that 160Gb just isnt enough, especially as most internal drives are now around 200gb+. Personally I have a 300gb drive which is full of music and need another 400gb one now I have decided to convert all my CDs to lossless format *sigh*.

So in this instance I wont vote cold, I just wont vote.
I think this is a decent price for 160gb.It may not be better per gb as others mentioned, but if somebody wants a hard drive, doesn't require any bigger/or is strapped for cash, then this is a good buy for them.:)
