Freecom DataTank Gateway combines the multiple features of its predecessor, the well-known Storage Gateway, with the safety options of the DataTank. You now have access to up to 1000GB of network storage, which you can configure either as fast (RAID 0 = 1 volume) or safe (RAID 1 = mirror). On top of this, it is equipped with Gigabit Ethernet, providing the fastest possible transfer rates over the network. Create a wireless network of several PCs and connect various external devices such as USB printers and external USB hard drives to the DataTank Gateway WLAN. The DataTank Gateway WLAN also enables you to access the Internet from any PC in the network, store your website, and make the required data available online easily and quickly.

Comes with Gigabit Ethernet, very nice :)
100MegaBit Lan = Max ~10 Mega Bytes (Slower then USB2!!).

Watch out for RAID 0 though, if one hdd dies, you'll lose all your data.

Just lost my data in a Raid 0 config. Dell Dimension 9200 :(
Dell man replacing drive not data tomorrow...

Be careful

Can't quite made up my mind about this one. Why would you want wireless connection on NAS? To transfer files at enormous 4MBps?
And if you want cheap gigabit standalone NAS with 2 disks and RAID, why not to go for DNS-323 + 2x500GB Seagate drives? It would be cheaper.
If there is no requirement to have 2 physical drives, then there are other cheaper options like (WD 1TB World Edition for roughly 230 quid or so).

So, Ray - why do you think this deal is good?

it does have four aerials :whistling:

I can see only two :)

And this one also have 2 aerials, which doesn't make it a good NAS:

The one at Dabs is USB/Firewire drive, not NAS.
