Boo e quality made this unbearable when it first launched, hopefully it's improved.

Is this still using calls routed over an internet connection? If so, it needs adding as I read nothing but terrible reviews last time.

Premium voice is included it says, worth it for the data alone imo, thats why I posted it 16GB on Three's 4G network is a bargain with no contract. Plus unlimited mins & texts if you really want to use them X)

Yes it does. An absolute awful service and to cancel you have to click on a link typed in ariel 26 point at the bottom of a page. My advice is to avoid like the plague.

I just cancelled freedompop after being with them about a month ! their deals look awesome on paper , I had 6gb with unlimited everything else for £7.99 a month , but the main problem I had was I couldn't receive texts with the service which over Xmas and new year was a nightmare . I think they will work well in the USA where they are from , but they just don't have it sorted yet in the UK efficiently enough . you may get lucky and have no issues with them , but the problem is you need the freedombpop apps to make calls and texts and I think that's where the glitches lye . As I say just my own personal experience .

I use Freedompop number/app with my T-Mobile sim, works flawlessly - the issues seem to be from Three data, I assume ping or latency or somewhat is the problem. Because on EE 3G network I never experience the problems people report with the FP sim.

Foggmobile who resell Three resell bulk data sims to HP as DataPass and others aswell as FP...maybe it is a data routing issue ?

Foggmobile were bought by a Buiness 2 Business player. I cant recall who.

My FP sim works flawlessly as a 'data' device hotspot (Alcatel Pixi 4 4"), the FP app running on my iphone with the same sims number logged in never has issues, I use that for non personal calls/contacts.

Considering this deal myself, but more I'm looking for a o2/Voda provider as 3 and EE share mast sites & I want better coverage of the o2/Voda Cornerstone mast sharing agreement. Decisions decisions...

Just be careful not to install the freedompop app (allowing calls & messages) once you have done that the phone will always attempt to use voip instead of normal calls - according to FP the only way out is to deinstall all their apps.

The only way out of FP is to cancel after logging in, I know what you meant but others may think uninstalling the app will stop future payments. My FP sim is a hotspot I rarely use, also have a Global roaming sim too - I have these both for when travelling via app & one via sim. Just buy a local sim card/s & local calling bundle on the FP app. sounds complex but quite easy.

It is a great thing/app over EE 3G.

It's a great data service, but they'd be better off charging per minute for a proper voice service.
And I don't mean premium voice as that's only out going and bad data signals.

That is fair, Three has a few MVNO's, FP should go that route

I use it for data and some phone calls and works OK. I don't know what you lot are complaining about. It's a free service, treat it like that. Data always works, with calls sometimes have to try a couple of times as the may be poor quality the first time, so just dial again. What's the big deal?
