Wii Free Loader is really easy to use. Simply insert your FreeLoader disc and load it in the usual way. When the drive stops, eject the Wii FreeLoader disc and insert the game, which then loads and plays just like it would on its own region of Wii. Its as simple as that!
Usual other stuff.

Nintendo have decided that importing games shouldn't be done and their new update has made it impossible to use the freeloader anymore. This of course leaves people who have purchased several overseas games screwed. I urge you- DO NOT BUY THIS. IT WILL NOT WORK ANYMORE

Not for back-ups I take it?!?

Noooooooooo
It is purely to enable you to play Import games but like the previous post, be wary of any updates.

Nintendo make the DS region-free yet go ape over the Wii. Why?

All consoles should be region free. Thought we lived in a free world? So why are we restricted when it comes to games consoles and DVD's?

Interesting, I contacted Nintendo to confirm about zoning as Wii games are cheaper in the UK than they are in Australia and I wanted to send some games to family for xmas.

Here is the email thread:
Hi,

[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]I am sure you are asked this a lot.

I live in the UK and I would like to send my niece and nephew who live in Australia some Wii games for Christmas.

I was wondering if you could clarify whether Wii games are 'zoned'? If I were to buy games in the UK and send them to Austalia would they work in a Wii bought in Australia?

Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Are Wii games zoned?

Dear Diane, thank you for your e-mail.

This is no problem as they use the same TV system and power supply as we do. The warranty on them will not be valid over there and the pictures will be upside down - well maybe not this last bit :>))))

Kind regards,

Your Nintendo Team

Apart from making me laugh out aloud, this confirms that you should be able to play PAL format Wii games from anywhere.

Actually Australia is the same format as the UK, they are both PAL and region 2 dvds, America isnt, so a UK Wii game wont play in a USA machine and vise versa, as they are region 1 and NTSC tvs.
