Shouldn't get so cold as these sims are about £1 from high street shops.

Everyone knows about this already though, and all the networks do it.

Just topped up 2 sims and got the £30 in just over 30min. Not sure how everyone else does it but I buy vouchers put the sim in then wait until I get the configuration install, then top up and text the number every few min so the balance pops up. Done this every time and got the £30 within the hour. Although this time I messed up buying games on play store to get a refund and bought one I already had refunded so lost the £5 :(
Good to know it's still working for some mate.

Ahh that happened to me too before, can never remember em all :(

ive tried to top up £11 using a debit card but it says "sorry your top up was unsuccessful". anyone have any luck using a card to top up the £11. does the sim card have to be registered or anything? ive tried asking online chat but they just direct me to the online top up page and theres only options for £10 or 15 etc.
Yes same here, I tried 6 times and it doesnt work, even when I tried £10, o2 web chat customer services was poor, they try and make you use the site. I spoke to customer services in the end and they could see the attempts made to top up but had no reason why they were failing. so in the end I used the online service to do £10 and they added £1.
I have one more sim to do and I dont think it will work, I think there is an underlying bug associated with these sims and topping up via 4444.
I use 4444 every time but there are occasions where it doesn't like a certain debit card so I have to use another.
I think it's the card issuer's fault (anti-money laundering or something) when you use the same card for multiple SIMs.
A few months later and my original card started working again.
I appreciate that, but I have never used the card before, this was my first time, also I used my wifes credit card and it still failed. I am on pay montly and only got the sim purely to use for PSN. I spoke to my bank and no attempts were made to authorise, so the problem is definitely at o2 end
its definitely their end as i tried two cards from seperate banks and neither worked. i spoke to several chat assistants and the first 2 just copy and pasted the same info about buying online. on my 3rd attempt i explained it in more detail that i wanted £11 and therefore could not use the online service and that i would like to use the 4444 top up by debit card option. they took a lot of details and it was a good half hour chatting. they said they would "pass on the details to the support team and it will work in 7 days"... i tried it the next day and it worked lol. i asked at the end of the chat if there was an issue with cards at the moment and the response was vague. i dont think they can say "yes its our fault" but i got the impression that it was their end.

Its not to do with the difference between £10 and £11. I tried both with 2 different cards, neither worked.
I just popped down to O2 and got £10 vouchers and used lend us a quid.

Yeaa to be honest it was exhausting for the one sim talking to them, never mind the other I had the same problem on. From no idea that offer exists, to it must've been a fraudulent email (people pretending to be o2 to trick people into o2 credit lol?), the most helpful ones just say they can't do anything and will forward it on. That sucks as I ended up just using the 20 squid n dumping em! Oh well can't complain :).

Glad for future ref others have had it resolved by phoning support. Will use that one

Anyone else having trouble getting the extra £20 at the mo? I only got an extra £10 yesterday and today despite getting the emails offering £20 bonus :(
Same, quoted the email to gurus who aren't interested. One was telling me I topped up before the 14 days, despite receiving the email. I think maybe it's best leaving it till the day after the email, maybe the time matters? Yesterday I did it at 3pm received the email at 2.30, I definitely ordered them 9am and they were sent out that day, maybe it's when they're marked as 'dispatched' though. If they were marked as 'active' sims 5pm that day it would explain it. I need to check my emails to see what time they sent the on the way email
This was just my own speculation though to honest as I've never had chance to do it that early in the day before, and never had this problem
Hi

I have done them quite a few times before without issue, these ones I actually did 2 days after the email and still only got the smaller bonus. Just done another today and same problem. :-(
Ahhh mutes my theory, I've got some maturing, hate to think they'll only get 20 each aha :(

Confuse here, hope someone can help.
Which sim card did I choose?
All I see is bundle sim and its says "Top up and we'll instantly exchange your credit for a set allowance of minutes, texts and data that's valid for 1 month." So does that mean when I recieved the email for extra £20 credit with £10 top up I end up with £20 for PSN since £10 went to the bundle?
And do I need to activate sim when sim arrives or sametime £20 email sent?
I chose the £15 bundle sim personally, then topped up just £10 and my credit wasnt converted to any bundle, it was a credit of £10. Maybe thats a good way to go about it actually. When your sim arrives, dont top it up yet, wait for the email two weeks after it arrives that tell you to top up and get £20 free. You will have a balance of £30. You can pay £25 into your PSN account, and have about £4.80 left over after the cost of the confirmation text.

Thanks!

I mean, since it's free credit being added on does it still entitle you to use it for PS store? if so, this should be very hot as it works out cheaper than T-Mobile sims off eBay and this is not limited per customer either.
I can confirm it works just fine. I topped up my PSN account with £25. Obviously the text cost means you cant do the full £30.

The fact that this actually works is just great anyway!!! ;) poor o2, however people are still going into stores to get the freebies and some people additionally purchase things so it's good for the certain businesses too! :)

Love the hotel chocolat and smiths ones best. My free calender from smiths was a good one this year ;)

Not sure if we will do the Hotel Chocolat one again the women kept saying we had to buy something before we left! oO We got out in the end, *cough* well ran out.....

Which product was that for?

And lmao.. ;)

Chocolate egg on toast!

Explains why they still had 4 boxes of it! :|

That's stupid!!! At least you got one ;)

I didn't actually get that particular one, but when I went in store to get the mothers day one the sales assistant kept on staring at me like WHY AREN'T YOU BUYING ANYTHING.. But I guess some people would feel uncomfortable then just buy something, but no, not me :p

After reading this, I must be pretty lucky, every time I've been into Kings Cross Station Hotel Chocolat, the staff have been very kind, friendly and helpful and even offer me chocolates to try, never felt pressured to buy anything.

However in Paddington station the staff have been rude, not friendly and act as if I've inconvenienced them.

It's amazing how different stores of the same company can have such a difference in staffs attitudes.

Absolutely! It happens a lot though unfortunately!

sorry but I voted cold as I was just looking for deals on blackberry and decided to go with the tesco pay monthly capped deal. £12.50 per month for 500mins 5000 texts 1gb of data as well as your bbm stuff on a 12 month sim only deal. Think it was £15.00 pm for a shorter deal.

Fair enough, but if you can't or want to get a contract then I think this deal is fairly good. £15 equal to 60 minutes of calls, I know not much but if you don't want the contract (for example for your kids) then this could useful.

I took out out this deal (150mins and 300 texts for £9.79 a month on monthly contract) through Quidco on the 18th July for my wife and was paid £23 (thats what quidco were paying then) 2 months later. I then took out the same contract for myself on the 4th August but by then the casback was up to £100 and again this was paid into my quidco account 2 months later. Not entirely convinved until i actually had the money, i can confirm the £123 cleared into my bank account from quidco earlier this month.

And i must stress this is not a 12 month contract but only a monthly contract i could cancel at any time and still be quids in(which i wont do),

Agreed.
The cheapest TWELVE MONTH CONTRACT SIM ONLY ie that should entitle you to:
o2 Quidco: "£100 for a 12 month contract SIM Only "
ie 800mins 1600texts = £19.58/m
ie 12 * 19.58 - 100 = £134.96/12m = £11.25/m ie FAR CRY from the £1.46/m the OP mistakenly come up with I fear

why the hell is everyone talking about the simplicity deals when this thread is about payandgo? yeah it mite seem expensive compared to sim only deals, but please can somebody write something constructive.?
This is a good deal for PAYANDGO. unlimited txt to any network for £10 or £15 for unlimited txt and internet. Previously you had to pay £30 for unlimited txt for any network. You get to keep the £10 or £15 for people who dont want a contract or for people who cant get one
This reminds of the days when o2 started payandgo and a top up of £10 got u unlimited txt as opposed to 300 sms

Im talking about simplicity deal because im thinking about the long run. I dont think anyone thinks about getting a contract for 1 month, 2 month, 3 month etc.

I havent voted hot or cold on this because as i stated i think the 12 month deal is better but this is a good option for someone who doesnt want to top up one month.

But as a deal to get unlimited texts and unlimited internet i rate the o2 simplicity better. You have to pay £15 a month to get the unlimited txts and net and if your going to have your sim for a year you might aswell opt for the o2 simplicity deal that works out cheaper @ 11.24 a month for the year

Fantastic deal as well except it ties you for 12 months whereas this one is PAYG. So slightly different beasts.

Not really, with this PAYG deal you HAVE to top up £15 pound a month to get the unlimited texts and internet if you top up less than £15 (£10-£14) you only get unlimited texts.

So basing what this deal is on, unlimited texts and internet no xnet mins, you have to commit to £15 a month. So if you want unlimited texts and internet for 12 months you gotta pay the £15 a month

While with the o2 Deal its comes to £11.24 a month with 800 free mins.

The only good i can see from this deal is if you dont want to use internet one month, then you just top up £10......but why do that when you can pay 11.24 what for o2 give you.

Not yet, though I only ordered a few hours ago. Fingers crossed; as you say, quidco makes that deal. 92% reliability.
