Anyone want to say why this is cold?? I'm sure this normally gets a hot vote on here??

It would be interesting to hear the reviews of anyone who has this.

Also to know whether that HDD in it can be upgraded or not.
#3
Seems like a reasonable deal to me.

There are quite a number of positive reviews on the MicroDirect page linked to from the initial deal.

Personally I am always a bit wary of refurbished items, but this one does come with a full 1 year warranty.

well here is what i have had in the lines of pvr with rating

DIGIFUSION 4/10 RETURNED JUST DIDNT LIKE MENU
THOMSON 6/10 A BIT BETTER THAN ABOVE PLASTIC
HUMAX 8/10 ONLY ONE TUNER CRACKER THOUGH
TOPFIELD 8/10 GREAT TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET BUT AGAIN CRACKER
SKY+ 9/10 WOULD HAVE BEEN 10/10 BUT TIED IN TO SKY
TOPFIELD 8/10 REPLACED ABOVE BUT SOLD DUE TO BT VISION BUT COULDNT GET IN END
DIGIFUSION 7/10 ONLY PAID £15 FOR IT
THOMSON (LATEST) 2/10 TUTV SPOILT IT
ONN 160GB 8/10 RETURNED DUE TO INVERTO PRICE DROP
INVERTO 7/10 RETURNED DUE TO BAD SIGNAL IN AREA
DIGIFUSION (SAME AS ABOVE) 8/10 NEW FIRMWARE NOW STEADY
HITACHI BOUGHT TODAY AS IT WAS CHEAP

reason for above is i have had a few pvr's and for the price i would rate the digifusion as a leader as its easy to use, does what you ask, PQ is 10/10 and updates do fix problems. I bought mine for £15 at flea market it was as new, boxed and had the new power supply but sold it on and then bought it back as I missed it, however after seeing the new hitachi on the net today for £52 i decided to buy that is it was more upto date.

Any links or info on doing this??

Hi, Personally recommend that unless you want a tremendous amount of hassle with RMA'ing and returning goods that arrive in awful condition not to buy Digifusion Refurbs from this company but that's from my experience.

Hi, Here's a link that refers to the FRT100 however at a guess the FRT200 hard disk drive upgrade is similar.

Personally I would pay the extra for a Humax or Topfield (and yes I know it's a lot extra)

I know it's a lot more than you paid, but Argos are currently selling this particular model for £99.99... or of course they can always be picked up cheaper on that well known on-line auction site! :)

I've got the 40gb version, bit noisy but works great.
I paid similar price for 40gb 6 months ago.
So good price

this deal's been posted before - too many boxes fail (mines did)

Even with the 5a power pack

Avoid like the plague - MD will insist YOU pay to return the box

what are you on about ????
#23
Ive had mine since Nov 06 its been fine.I think its just the luck of draw if you get a good one or not.
#24
Just a warning that this needs a strong signal to pick up more than a few channels. I had one in the loft running off an internal aerial and it only picked up five or six channels. My Wharfdale from Argos picked up everything but the music channels and Film4 with the same signal.
