Good spot OP pity you cannot pick the sizes of the Jacket/Trousers individually, hopefully someone will be able to get a correct size match

French Connection can't be considered a good brand anymore. Cheap, poorly designed clothes. Doesn't look too bad a suit for the money though.

OMG. I've just had to get up off the floor. Suits actually available at a good price, a reasonable brand and in most sizes. Does this ever happen?

Just take it to tailor to be altered. Some thing you should do with every off the rack suit. Depending on what needs doing add an extra £30-40.

I know what you mean, their clothes are pretty shocking quality of late but their suits are not bad quality and if you are looking for a 'fashion' type suit.

French Connection suits are fine if you go for the wool ones - or ones with a high percentage wool. Not sure I'd go for this - it's 100% poly viscose! oO

Agree with broadsands. £70 for 100% poly viscose is not a good deal - you can usually find 100% wool suits for around £80 in the moss sale

There is always a catch. Sizes start from fat bas***d upwards - 40inch chest, 34 inch waist.

Think i'll stick with the super skinny's from Topman...

**** no 48" chest / 38 trooser combo.

poly viscose? Might as well buy a suit from Tesco or Matalan.

do not want

If a 40" chest is a fat Bas***d size then my guess is you look something like a twig. Not a good look by the way.

I don't think I do that bad ;-) - and yeah, how many pies have you had to end up with a 40 inch chest?

None. I look like a bloke and not a 10 year old girl ;-)

I'm 6'4 with a 42 chest and 36 waist - and i'm not fat.

Obviously you know nothing about suit sizing and fitment. The majority of suit manufacturer's have a 6 inch drop from the chest to the waist. So, 40inch jacket will come with 34inch trousers. As mentioned, stick with 100% wool from the Moss sale.
