weirdly its a lot cheaper at John Lewis. and yes there are cheaper highchairs out there...but damn this is one good looking high chair. my kid is gonna look like an evil villan if i time her to swivel around in it at just the right moment! oh and i should give her a cat to stroke.

its from birth to 5 years. which is nice as baby can sit with u in the cradle position when ur eating/in the kitchen.

people do!! i mean look at this. and the mamas and papas loop highchair is similar to the fresco bloom but retails for £250. actually the fresco bloom retails everywhere for near £300. people will pay the premium for the funky looking highchair. babies and kids products sell very well, look at dragons den. 2 products the dragons said no to have done well, the trunki case (i got that for my son last week) and those cuddle robes (i got for my daughter when she was born).!! so if ur gonna invent something, make it for the kids market. make it look different and cool and bham! hehe

My sister paid full price for this :w00t:
It looks really good in their kitchen and one of the best things is how high it goes and the easily adjustable heighs so it can be used at the breakfast bar, at the table and later on as a little chair.

She had trouble finding one which went high enough as they eat a lot at a breakfast bar/granite top on the island in the middle of the kitchen type thing and she loves it. It looks very modern and the base does take up a surprising amount of space, but it means it's very sturdy and won't topple over. It feels very solid and is very easy to clean as well.

Thanks. I was so excited about this but they rung and cancelled my order as they said it was out of stock when i ordered (wasn't, there were 5 left).

i think it was a miss price, went into john lewis, they had loads in stock, told what the price was and were shocked, told them to check their site, but the price has gone back... how embarassing

Hi Guys, Just an update.. After I saw the chair was out of stock online, I decided to e-mail the glasgow store and gave them the product number and I got a reply stating that they do have that in stock at £100 and I was given a description of the product (of the chair shown as above). I called and placed an order and was charged £100 on my credit card and I got the chair delivered today... NOT the one shown on the website/above but an alternative Bloom nano highchair. Was very disappointed so wrote to John Lewis but haven't had a reply yet. Will return it and get a refund! Has anyone received the chair they actually ordered?

received the nano highchair as well. rang john lewis and they say sorry we dont stock other one now. either i get a full refund or i get a £25 discount and get to keep this chair for £75. am gutted :-( dont like the nano. will have a good look/reviews and see if its worh keeping for 75. :-( i still have the screen shot of the actual prodcut but all they are doing is apologising. rubbish

The nano highchair is really ugly. It is nothing like what you ordered. I would try for the loft one if i were you but doubt that you will be that lucky.

I wonder what happened to the ones we ordered? What is the bets that they reappear at a higher price in a couple of weeks!

Same here, it is being delivered today, and they just phoned to say they will be sending a different one instead. The fresco bloom one we all ordered is still on their website:

30 people have apparently compalined. been told to use the nano till they resolve situation in about 6 weeks. they trying to get hold of the correct highchair but nowt been confirmed. finsgers crossed.

I wrote to the complaints department too but the guy just got back saying that he'll forward my mail to the store where I purchased the chair, which I already did. This is going no where but in circles, better just everybody get a refund if they don't like the Nano. Too much hassle for something that'll lead to nothing. They'll just apologise if you're lucky, and I too was offered the fresco but not even with a discount, the full £270 and apparently the store do not have any knowledge of this chair being offered at £100, they deny it saying it was the Nano but this wasn't the case when I ordered it. Oh, I was so hoping to receive the Bloom fresco for that price....:-( Hope atleast some of you will win the battle and get the right chair. Think I'll give up......Don't think I'll shop with John Lewis in the near future.....

Hi, check your email sales confirmation, mine states fresco bloom, so they cannot say it was just the incorrect picture. When I told them on the phone that I wasn't happy, the guy said I could use the nano for now and they would sort it out later!! Was anyone else told this?

Yeah, my confirmation states it's the Fresco and not Nano. Also, the slip that I signed for delivery stated Fresco too.

My wife figured out that it looks like they have had the wrong product code on for the Fresco description. Proven by the guy that phoned Glasgow and quoted the product code. Hence why he was told it was £100 and was sent the Nano.

End of the day it's thier mistake and they should honour the price. Even if they offer it for half price we'd be happy!

got an email reply to my mail i sent on thursday. said i should pay £75 or return it. sent a very ****** off email back saying there was no way id pay for the ugly chair!

very dissapointed.

Update from our efforts. My wife phoned John Lewis today to complain.

After a bit of tw-oing and fro-ing (which involved them dening they still stock the Fresco!!) we were given the line that they are looking into the situation and will be phoned on Thursday with an outcome. According to the rep we spoke to, the issue has been escalated to the JL head office and they are dealing with it. A decision to be made by Thursday, and all who have complained so far will hear the outcome then. So if you haven't complained yet please do, as the more complaints there are, the better as far as I see it.

If we don't hear anything we'll be back on the phone Friday morning to complain again.

Called then back about 10 minutes ago and managed to blag the fresco in blue with the snug for £200. Not quite the same as the OP's offer which we all thought we had, but still got a good deal I reckon. Cheapest for the same deal I can find is £245, so well done to JL for giving us a decent deal for their mistake.

They seem to be offering everyone different things, they have only offered me a £50 discount on the fresco, and admit the item is still in stock. Or they say I can have the nano for £75. I respectfully declined, and asked them to refer the matter back to head office!

That's with returning the Nano and taking the fresco instead. Keep pushing for a good deal, I'm sure they'll offer you a better one.

JL are being crap. so i ang trading standards and they said they are in breech of contract! so dont give uo guys. ring trading standards and get on the case...they will adivse u what to do

If that's what they told you then push to try and get the initial deal.

But when we rang trading standards we were told JL were within their rights to cancel the order. I was reading their T's+C's and the contract isn't complete until they deliver the item. Because they have never actually sent anyone the fresco, then there has never been a contract to sell anyone the fresco at that price. That's how I read it anyway.

If you still don't get anywhere with trading standards, feel free to use our case as proof of our deal. Fresco for £200 with snug.

thanks mitch....i think what TS said was that because the item is in stock and receipt says that item as well then they should deliver it...regardless of the price changing. they should have recived the letter. will check it online later. 7 days an counting for the highchair or i ring TS and take it further.
