Fresh Basil growing in a pot. Normally 76p rolled back to 50p. In store and online.

Kept watered, these plants can keep you in fresh basil for weeks. Great with pizzas and other Italian food

Mine's been going for almost a year and looks as good as new still. At this price cheaper than buying dried basil and much nicer.

Last year I did well with basil, grew great, really big and bushy.

This year I've had two plants so far, got rid of the first after the leaves got dry pale brown spots and now the second plant's gone the same.

Any gardeners know what the problem is?

Try brushing it. You know, with a basil brush

I've never grown it successfully until I was given a pot recently and warned only to water it from a saucer underneath and not to get the leaves wet. Bingo! My basil plant is thriving.

Mine is by my kitchen window which gets sun in the afternoon. Only thing I can see it definitely doesn't like is a breeze, if I open the window and forget to move it the leaves all droop and it looks dead. A quick water and shut the window and within hours it looks great again.

Can anyone tell me how often these herb plants should be watered, mine never seem to last more that a week, lol.
