I got one on Tuesay and froze it, it will do us New Years day. It should've been £30 but we were only £15! Looks lovely, just hope it tastes as good as it looks, beef can be very hit or miss I find.

i personally find tesco meat are not very good, the Co-op meat selection is slightly better - but that depends on what region you are from..... sorry that did sound boring lol

bought some today, but i doubt if will be as good as the local butchers. You get what you pay for!!

Let it rest for 30 mins or more, and it will be nice. The longer the time to relax the better.

The joints are all pretty big - struggled to find one that would do for two people.
#13
But will it taste like Beef?

I bought one and cut it into two and then froze them separately :)

I'm afraid that is a myth, the butchers buy the cast offs, basically what the supermarkets do not want, or stuff that has been frozen down from chilled, the reason why it may taste better is because the butchers take time out to tell you how to cook it properly,

Thing here is...your all buying cheap beef to FREEZE it...OR cook it the day before you want to eat it.

Great way to ruin beef. FACT.

I buy from my local butcher...He can tell me where the animal came from, how long it was hung for, and how old it was. I might pay extra...But i'll put my months wages on it tasting better than any supremarket bought joint.

Anyway, the deal....its well priced at that, I'll guess at brazilian beef.

If you want a GREAT roast beef joint...For goodness sake go buy a Ribeye Roast/Rib Roast/Forerib Roast.

Oh, btw, this stuff is BRITISH beef, not South American
