Not for everyone but Lidl are offering good variety lately and at £2.99 kilo this is very very cheap for an exotic fruit.

I must admit, Lidl have sharpened up their game when it comes to freshness and variation of produce. We buy all our vegetables and meat from their, saved a fortune and tastes allot better too.

It's 'there', not 'their'. Also, it should be 'alot', not 'allot'.

"Alot" ???

juicy sweetness.

once you have one, you tend to finish the whole box in 1 go.

a bit like Turkish Delight, rose flavour.

Stop being so sarcastic ok?.

many people love Turkish delight and everything relating to it.

If you don't ,then this thread isn't for you and you can quietly jog on to another thread without complaining, thank you.

I was in Vietnam last year, had the most wonderful lychee in my life, 100 times better than these ones as different origins have different tastes.

The complete case i bought were about as fresh as buying from Covent Garden. I very much doubt Lidl would want to sour their reputation from selling fruit lined with fungal growth. Surely that would be a store specific issue and not national FGS

It is cheaper than in Mauritius, which is something of a surprise given that the fruit actually grows in Mauritius.

Mauritian Litchis are much better quality than the Madagascar ones. However, they are also much rarer because Mauritius is a tiny island compared to the latter.
