  Not always. Last year I decided to bin all my strawberries except 1 plant of Irresistable and several of a variety I have had for years of unknown name that are great. Other varieties have come and gone - all homegrown but not sufficiently good enough taste wise to warrant the ground space.

  Not voting either way but not sure why anyone would be buying foreign strawberries at this time of year, plenty of British ones about at the moment.
