Yes, it's minimum welfare standards and yes a large number of people hate intensive unethical farming.

But Tesco’s chicken produce stacks of fat when you cook them and they taste dreadful. So on that basis alone it’s COLD from me.

The kind of comment one would expect from a user with a smile smoking a spliff...

I guess this deal can be summed up in five words; You get what you pay for.

I'm not telling anyone what to do. I just think that a lot of comments are disrespectful to something that had feelings, could feel pain and didn't ASK to be born into a life of misery. That's all :)

so whats the organic one cost then? You really think a family thats on a budget cares!!??

its been on tv numerous times unfortunately humans come first hence why u get criminals as they have to put food on the table!
#31
chicken......... me love me chiiken!!!!!!!!!!!
#32
Popped into Tescos. These are the normal chickens. Not the value chickens. They are half price at around the £2 mark each. But they are flying off the shelves.
#33
Guys, I am no animal lover but as much as I dont take offence there are others that do, please remember that when posting crude remarks, I think hand on heart no one wants to eat from a ill treated animal, however not everyone is in a financial situation to afford the organic range, we are at the top of the food chain and whilst the world is in this financial downturn bargins like this will be snapped up regardless of the outcome for the animal.

So if folk eat chicken breed and suffering in terrible conditions it would reduce the crime rate?
Are you really that stupid to suggest that?
#35
None of these in my local stores (Islington).
#36
Im using "food on the table" in a general context and hey no need for that remark.

Criminals ie shoplifters et al. Petty thieves that steal to make ends meet.

Also did you mean mean "chicken bred" as "chicken breed and suffering" doesnt make sense?

I didnt say anything about crime rate reducing if all chickens were poorly cared for ones, you made that assumption.

Hmmm and im stupid?
