Have these chickens been born and raised in the foothills of the Andes, roaming amongst wild orchids, drinking water that has filtered through a ten million year old glacier ?

Thought not, count me in :p

I once asked the lady behind the counter what makes the extra tasty more tasty than a regular chicken and she said that they inject the extra tasty ones with a saline solution to make them more moist lol.

SMALLEST CHECKENS EVER

What is a 'CHECKEN' and should it always be shouted?

Just a note that most supermarkets grade chickens.

If they are too ugly/mishaped/disabled to sell fresh, they either go to filleting or they get cooked.

Usually the rotisserie chickens are the worse of the bunch.

Still taste nice though!

Can't say I've ever seen a fat arsed, minger chicken going round in a wheelchair!

Still taste nice though!

Bought one last night, tasty as usual ... but seemed a h3ll of a lot smaller than they normally are.

Some ideas if like me you find it on the small side, Break up and make a chicken salad, or break up and mix in salad cream/mayo and make some yummy toasted chicken mayos.

Good price imo

I may as well be the first and take the inevitable abuse:

So basically no one gives a damn about the welfare of the chicken. I'm curious - if they started selling chicken's labelled "bred suspended on a rope from its neck to save space and fed through a tube" would you still not care as long as it was cheap? Is there any point at which the suffering of the animal you are eating count or is it just all about cost?

"But I have no money and I really HAVE to eat ten chickens a week" - whatever. I am just as poor as you, and I manage fine thanks.

Chicken super markets are awesome :D
#35
These are far nicer than the cooked chickens in other supermarkets, which end up as either ruberry, greasy or chewy.

I've got two words for you: Food chain.

If chickens want a life of luxury with big screen TVs and fast cars then they'll have to start a coup. And take this from me chickens, I'm ready to fight.

Oh and another thing, if chickens don't want to be eaten, why do they make themselves so damned tasty?

I don't think they are asking for luxury, just maybe the chance to see the sky once or twice before they die. And maybe to not have their feet rot off from standing in their own excrement. I know, they are pretty demanding, but that's chickens for you.

And yes, they are below us in the food chain - which is why I have no problem eating them. Its the torturing and suffering that I have a problem with.
