What discount? Stays as £7.69 for me? Do you have to go through Google Checkout?

Why bother buying the DVDs of Friends?

It's always being repeated on E4 and Channel 4....

Well by that logic why buy any DVD of any film, they'll all be on Sky or regular TV at some point.

HMV is cheapest at £99.99. Minus Quidco, and a stray voucher maybe. Student discount possibly?

But not a "good deal" so to speak.

A sell has the series on amazon marketplace for 62.88 in like new condition, its only 1.24 postage so I would say thats a good deal!

I can understand what other person is saying about being on E4 - it's easy (and probaly lazy I know) to leave it on when flicking channels, but as I have seen just about every episode now, don't know if I could be bothered actually putting a DVD in to watch them - strange I know, but I think quite a lot of people would be like this and only 'die hard' fans would buy the collection. (eg. it's like buying a DVD collection of neighbours or eastenders)

Thanks so much fellow deal hunters, picked up the £64.99 Amazon boxset + £1.24 postage. I'm not a fan but my wife is and we're moving to a country with no e4 or friends repeats, so this boxset will keep her occupied for hours on end! Money well spent!:-D

Also dvds generally are far better quality than the resolution on tv, you wont notice it much on a SD set but on a HD set its very noticeable.

That being said I bought series 5 for £4 I think new in a closing down sale of a local store and the quality seemed worse than transmitted.

But generally dvd is far better quality
