Not voted either way as can't comment for in-store prices.
Thanks for posting anyway:)

It's this price without VAT, just about - £39.99/1.175 = £34.03

Not sure it's a good deal unless you have the space to take them to your holiday and back... or I guess if you're flying home from Gatwick.

Still, thanks for the post!

The new white boxset is the anniversary edition and includes extended versions of a lot of the episodes. There are also no double sided discs, so each series comes on 4 discs each housed in a regular sized DVD case.

All in all a much better version for the same sort of money.

Apparently E4/Channel 4 are going to stop showing it, so could be time to buy if you cant be without a daily Friends fix!

Obviously it's not nationwide, if you read the OP's post, he saw the boxset in the HMV store at Gatwick Airport, which it airside and means it's VAT free.

I'm not voting as I don't really see this as a decent deal, you need to be going on your hol's to get this deal for starters! :p

Shame there's no HMV in stansted airport, am off to germany for a week next month (hopefully)

Its like an "extended edition" each episode is longer (I think) with scenes extended that were cut down to fit it into the TV slot, plus it has loads of extras.

I'm not sure if its good or not, I mean either boxset will provide you with hundreds of hours of friends, I'm just wondering if the white one has hours of stuff that was cut for a reason... the last thing friends needs is filler!

Still, hot deal if you love **** television!

White box set (15th Anniversary) with all the extras and single sided discs £39.99 on Amazon:thumbsup:

Voted HOT as its worth knowing if anyone is going via an airport.

I got a PS3 deal this way and also the blu-ray player for £42 when I seen them on hotdeals.

People will vote cold as they cant get to an airport or going to one. Not a good enough reason for me.:x

I didn't go on my hols so is easy to take to and from with me :p

Its £40 instore nationwide in HMV. Not sure if the Asda 10% off boxset works still. I think HMV do quidco online. :)

Airports would still be less vat. I dont think anyone doubts the price. Its a lot of luggage to store for a trip!
