This is the older black box set without the extras and with some season nine episodes cut by a minute or two not the newer white box that has lots of outakes and extended episodes. Each series at 3 squid's the cheapest about though may well want to opt for the better presented version for less than 6 quid more at Asda.

Dundee store ( inside the Wellgate )
Have loads instock Also
- dj_urban

(may be the new white version in Dundee - awaiting confirmation)

(apologies for the previously misleading description and the wrong picture)

#7
Does anyone have a list of where Head stores are located around the UK?

From wikipedia
As of the 10th of January 2010, The only remaining Head Store's are Bristol and Dundee (leases extended till 2011) with Merryhill's lease till Easter 2010. There is also a store in The Glades Centre in Bromley, London but information about this store's future remains uncertain

Wow - didn't know there were so few Heads left - bit of a shame as it's one of my favourite stores. Sorry, didn't take any photos but thankfully Simate's come to the rescue in that respect!

Brilliant deal - Pity its always on TV tho so i would never get the DVD's out the box!! Hot!!

Just picked mine up from Bristol's store :) So can confirm it is £29.99. Not the newest white box but the older black box set. Still an awesome deal. Thanks

Pay £6 more (Asda) and get the 40 disc 15th Anniversary edition as it has loads of extras and behind the scenes stuff as well as all the episodes are the longer uncut versions and you also get a nice book with it which has a guide for every episode in the series and tells you what disc it is on.

Use voucher code BOXSET10 to get it for £35.94 from ASDA.

Also the box is about 1/3 smaller than the box in this deal so takes up less space on the shelf, but has 10 discs more. The discs are also dual layer discs so you do not have to flip them over to watch the other episodes on the disc.

I have owned the black pack in this deal (which I gave to my sis) and got the 15th anniversary edition and the 15th an edition is much better. Every episode has extra bits and I didn't realise they cut so much mid conversation!

Sorry if this has been misleading - I want to change the picture but can't seem to. I do agree the white box looks a better deal. This is the cheapest way to get all the series though I guess.
#18
very good price, but i can't vote hot or cold beause this is on e4 every day of the week! Why would you want to buy it?

E4 showings are total crap and cut to bits, not to mention long adverts and E4 watermarks.
And no special features, and no choice of what episode to watch or time of day to watch.
#20
agree that while its on tv, the convnience means I wouldn't be arsed to get it out of the box. Also, would want to forget some of it before seeing it again (as I have watched the episodes on tv again and again now)

rep for you mate, well worth the extra

good deal if you can afford the £16 return trip to london to get it so cold from me...lol

The HEAD store in Bromley has recently moved into a smaller unit, which may suggest it plans on being open for a while yet.

They've have the old stock in there since before Christmas though so maybe not.
#24
Decent price I guess but I don't get why anyone would want to buy this right.

It's on freeview like 4 times a day!!!
#25
do they still have them in Dundee..?

My brother has the black boxset and each season is in a separate normal single season sized box, the bigger box is stowed away in the cupboard to save space.

Is it the same with the white one? Can i take the discs out of the white box and put them on my shelf as separate seasons?

I used to like friends back in 1996 or something.

There's little point in buying this though as it is on tv 24/7.

Cheap though.
