Frijj Milkshake B.O.G.OF @ Tesco for 1.05.. includes fudge brownie and new Cookie dough flavours

brillybrilly

This is what you have all been waiting for...
the magnificent fudge brownie milkshake back on offer as buy one get one free at tescos.

As you (should) know this is the finest flavour milkshake ever to grace the varied frijj portfolio and has been accompanied on this occasion by its new stablemate, the limited edition cookie dough (d'oh) flavour (as well as the unworthy offerings of strawberry, banana and chocolate.)

Fudge brownie is not to be confused by the inferior standard chocolate offering as bears little relation other than the colour.
For those hesitant about the cookie dough, dont despair, i have taken it upon myself to test it.
The result: hmm its decent enough - similar to vanillaaaaarghh from last time but not up to fudge brownie or some previous flavours.

conclusion - clear the shelves! (apologies to those in my local)

think fudge brownie was £1.05 and cookie dough 96p if anyone is being picky but can be mixed as usual.

I contacted Frijj as I'm pretty sure that over the past year these milkshakes have got thinner and waterier. So much so the supermarket brands tend to be thicker. Yet they say the process is exactly the same and the ingrediants.

Even my Mum noticed they are thinner and that is saying something. I did get £4 reimbursed though, but still not happy with the general 'we're not sure why'. It's the credit crunch, they are cutting the ingrediants hoping people won't know.

Was in my local Tesco yesterday and whilst they had the Cookie Dough flavour (and the putrid "original" choc/banana/strawberry - all 3 are surprisingly poor, IMHO, particularly the choc flavour, which is just about the worst choc milkshake on the market!), they had *no* Fudge Brownie flavour in the store...sob.

So I got a couple of the Cookie Dough flavours to try out - there's a pic of Homer instead of Wiggum on the front and the bottle is a beige colour instead of dark brown like the Fudge Brownie. My impression is that Cookie Dough is "Fudge Brownie Lite" - it's definitely like a less flavoursome version of FB. So a cautious thumbs up, but only if they don't have FB in stock, which is the Frijj King as far as I'm concerned.
