Only difference in packaging is this is 1kg in size, doesn't state 4-5 serving (obviously will serve more as joint is bigger), and top right packaging is price-marked £7

Saintcouple, I hope you got double the difference on the doughnut overcharge! £7.45...wow!

I, too, must admit to being very interested in reading your shopping receipt. Couldn't for the life of me explain to you why it's interesting...but it is. :D

Sadly enough, only the 800g variety is available in my local Extra and not so local normal sized Tescos.
#24
lol lol lol What do ya need the cold roast beef for???? YOu not got enough beef already? That`s another £1.94. lol lol

I bought this exact joint from tesco's last weekend for £7-00 it was pretty horrible to be honest and none of us took more than one mouthfull, I took it back on tuesday and got a full refund, so I would buy with a little caution a its quite an aquired taste in my opinion, although its worth £1.75 if you want to try it I guess, but I wont be buying any.

"Mark5211" what about the donuts? did u try those?

Oh yeah in fact a few years ago I used to get to Euston Station early when I was travelling back from London just to buy a box of 12 kk's, now I can get them from the trafford centre, manchester city centre and tesco's and I never have them anymore, But krispy kreme's are great especially the custard filled chocolate topped one, expensive but well worth trying if you have never had one or dont like conventional doughnuts as they are baked not fried so you dont pile on the pounds with them!

£1.10 each or a dozen for £7.45 - I remember early in the year when krispie kreme did the buy 12 get 12 free voucher - Beware though, there's no going back once you've tried one.

starsparkle2311
Not to mention £4 worth of ready made roast potatoes! hahahaha x, what about the yorkshires?

Make my own yorkshires - Roasties were on bogof, which was deducted at the end of the reciept lol.

Any more for any more lol :-D

this was marked down in store two weeks ago to this price....I'm afraid I agree with an earlier comment - tasted pretty nasty - didn't even bother going back for others at the reduced price.

I buy free range but bought some value ones recently as I was doing a lot of baking for a party and found they were all exactly the same as the free range. The eggs were stamped as free range and were identical to the free range I had bought from tesco at the same time for my own use. Check your store just incase. I did feel like going to customer services and complain saying I wanted caged bird eggs :)

Wow Really :? will be checking my eggs in future.....LOL
#39
yes I bought the 15 value pack of "caged" eggs for pickling ( popped half a dozen dorset naga chillis in with them !) and happened to read the packaging as I was taking them out.
It explained the numbered codes printed on the eggs but the eggs were printed code 2 which is barn, cage eggs should be code 3.

Anyhow, back to thread, just had a look in my local and only the 800g packs.

Reference the doughnuts, are they really THAT good? I have often been tempted but have never bothered.

Being a firefighter, we are well known as doughnut experts for some reason!!
