One has to wonder how they make any money - a 2nd class small packet (how this was sent to me) costs £2.20 - plus the cost of the packaging etc. etc...

I regularly buy the Gildan t-shirts from the same supplier. Do the fotl ones wash well?
Reviews on Amazon suggest they shrink a lot

I've not washed mine yet. I use them to sleep in :-) I would not be surprised if they shrink - might be best to buy a size bigger.

I'm going to try a Hanes Beefy-T next - I believe they are even better quality cotton, and are also slightly longer.

If anyone knows of a good source of Hanes - please post!

Yes - agree about the sizing. Go one size up to allow for shrinkage.

I will let you know. Just ordered one to test, the beafy style.Never heard of Hanes before till you wrote this. Have always had fotl heavyweights and have been happy with them but think there is better out there ( reasonably priced) Yes, with fotl you need to order the next size up to what you are. I am medium so have ordered large..... and what's the betting it will be too big.

The Hanes are very very well known in the US and generally judged to be of a slightly higher quality. It is a marginally heavier weight cotton, and a bit more generous in the sizing. FOTL is quite fine though - and at this price, who can argue.

Hanes Beefy T - (215 gsm) (that's grams per square metre - the density of the material)
Fruit of the Loom - 185gsm (195 for colours).

One other nice thing about Hanes is there is an option for tagless shirts - the tag is printed on the inside near the top instead of a flappy tag (which to be fair, I find annoying)

    Thanks for posting OP

Would buy if it was XXXXL, but unfortunately it's only XXXL

From my experience there's definitely shrinkage on FOTL, I'd say after washing an XXXL FOTL t-shirt it fits more like an XXL Gildan if that's any help to anyone.

By the way this company also sell through ebay and play.com if you prefer either of them.

yeah I know them from the US military bases, all the soldiers have them, but they were rather cheap, like 10usd/3 pack
Good quality, also Fruit of the loom white socks and Hanes tagless wife beaters are amazing.

I have a Gildan (coloured) and it didn't shrink at all in 1 year.

The seller will have contract with RM. Thus paying alot less than 2.20
