Thanks. So what is the 44t DH bit about as that is the only diff I can see between this and the others priced at 90 plus quid.

44t is the number of teeth - the more teeth (on a front ring), the harder it will be to pedal (but also, on flat or downhill rides, the faster you will be able to go) - 44t versus 42t is not that significant, but it's a less popular size (the cheaper set has also got 175mm long cranks which are typically less popular than the 170mm versions)
CRC are just pricing the items according to how popular they are likely to be - more people will want the 42t/170mm cranks than the 44t/175mm cranks - if these are clearance items, they reduce the price of the less popular in order to sell them more quickly...
