Unleaded will fall by 2p to 111.9p per litre, and diesel will drop 4p to 124.9p. The prices will apply nationally at all the store's 171 forecourts across the UK from Thursday.
This site has the prices for your area http://www.petrolprices.com (Thanks to Anti5580 for the link).
If you use an Asda Credit Card to pay for the petrol you will also get another 2p of per litre (thanks to dink for the info)

Morrisons as of now ( I believe their doing it now to all their petrol stations ) are dropping Unleaded by 2p and Diesel by 4p. Not to get out done by rivals Asda, Morrisons are dropping their petrol prices so fill up now or wait until other players drop their prices

We're doomed, all doomed!!!

Oh good, I need petrol as its almost on the red, will wait until tom though

Might as well turn this into another cheapest in your area thread as we don't have an Asda petrol station :-(

Gibralter Service Station Chatham 0.67 miles 113.9p 29-07-2008

Was 117.9 last time I filled up....

i used asda the other day and it was 125.9 for diesel,so if there dropping it by 2p it should really be 123.9
#5
paid 117p (unleaded) at shell near Heathrow yesturday which is actually 1p cheaper than our tesco metro. Bigger tesco's do better offers but by the time ive driven there I burnt what i would save.

I think this is part of their national pricing structure, they want all chains to price nationally rather than locally.

ours is currently 126.9 for diesel

Retford, Notts is currently 113.9 everywhere but BP Co-op at 114.9. This is thanks to Morrisons cuts last week.

Hopefully we'll see 112.9 shortly. 113.9 is cheaper than anywhere in the surrounding area for some reason, barring Doncaster and S****horpe, who I think are as low as 111.9 already.

If you use ASDA's own credit card to pay for the fuel they knock 2p a litre off the price. My dad keeps their card for their fuel only and pays it off in full at the end of each month. I bet they hate people like him!
#10
Asda Edinburgh (jewel) was at 112.9 last weekend so this means its going down to 110.9?
#11
109.9 at my nearst branch of Asda , but it's a 14 mile round trip to get to it :giggle:
#12
So I found 2 or 5p off for fuel are very very hot deals. To be honest you don't save that much and fuel prices are changing everytime so basically in my opinion you can't save at all maybe just the feeling well

I was just about to link to that site.

You need to register to see the actual individual prices but it's worth the time and you'll use the site again and again.

Not to sure how much profit ASDA actually make on their petrol. I would imagine it is used as a marketing tool, to get people into the actual supermarket, where the real money is made.

If only ASDA did the 5p off per litre promotion like Tesco's, Lol

I like ASDA and Morrisons, Always the first to reduce the prices and always the last to increase.

Tesco are quite the opposite and usually 1p more than my local ASDA and Morrisons.

6p a litre drop in two weeks - so I'm not going to fill up till April 2009 - by which time they'll be paying me to take it away.:p

I'll just keep doing a Fred Flintstone till then - wears the shoes out though.

Cheapest in Newcastle - Morrisons(Cowgate&Byker) and Snax 24 (Byker -right by Morrisons:whistling:) 112.9p
#26
Morrisons Grimsby - 111.9 Unleaded, 124.9 Diesel.

Got there earlier today expected it to be 113.9, so got a nice surprise

I m from the north too. Local morrisons and asda are both 111.9 (whitley bay area) and with the asda card a further 2 p reduction.

Ironically i walk to work every day where my job is to activate new credit cards - one of which is the asda card.

I reckon 9 out of 10 people get the card just for the fuel reductions.

I think you'd struggle to get petrol for less that £1 a litre unless you go to USA, a former soviet country or some 3rd world country!
#38
We are a 3rd world country! DiDn't you know that, that's why inflation is high, and everything goes up and up.

Jeez, Centrica just upped their gas prices by 37%. That is obscene considering gas comes from where oil is and that price is slowly coming down.

Oh I long for the days when unleaded was 44.9p a litre and diesel was 35p a litre (1995 incase you are wondering!), and that was only because of the Gulf War so the prices were artificially high!
#39
Morrisons in Hawick, scotland, currently 112.9 and 124.9.

I think we all need to hold our horses here. We have nothing to be gleeful about just because the supermarkets have rearranged prices on some of their products in store to allow them to cut prices on fuel. When you think about it they're just working the pricing system so that they can gain more custom. I hate to be the prophet of doom, but I can see in the next six months the motorist being punished by having to fork out £1.50 plus for a litre of diesel.
