10x optical zoom model featuring Fujifilm's intelligent EXR technology. Its 27mm equivalent wideangle setting ensures you get everything in the frame.

Extreme Sensor Super CCD EXR
For superior image quality, enabling a 3-in-1 sensor combination of Fine Capture Technology (High Resolution), Pixel Fusion Technology (High Sensitivity and Low Noise), and Dual Capture Technology (Wide Dynamic Range). With an innovative color filter array and image processing technology, the EXR ensures an advanced reproduction in imaging with exceptionally balanced quality.

EXR AUTO - Extreme Point-and-Shoot
Capture images just as your eyes see them. The EXR AUTO not only automatically recognises scenes and selects the ideal shooting mode, it also sets the sensor to optimise shooting.

EXR Priority - Extreme Creativity
Allows manual priority settings for optimal viewing of different scenes, each EXR mode uses a different approach to change how the sensor captures the image:

* High Resolution
* Wide Dynamic Range (high contrast)
* High Sensitivity and Low Noise (low lighting conditions)

Real Photo Technology
Uses the following in combination: Super CCD EXR sensor, quality optics and Real Photo Processor EXR to give a finely honed image quality..

Unique Shooting Modes
Including Multi Frame function, Film Simulation Mode, and Super Intelligent Flash to deliver professional class photo quality.

Image Processing Function of Multi Frame Composition
This feature takes a series of rapid exposures (when pointed at the same subject). This allows combinations of the best of each frame to give a well balanced composite photo. Modes are:

* Pro Focus Mode (sharp subject against soft background)
* Pro Low-light Mode (reduces noise)

Film Simulation Mode
Simulates popular Fuji film types and styles including:

* PROVIA / Standard Mode
* Velvia / Vivid Mode (high colour saturation)
* ASTIA / Soft Mode (for soft hues and tones)
* Black & White Mode
* Sepia Mode

Super Intelligent Flash
For macro shots that optimally balance flash power output and recording sensitivity. As part of the Auto mode, this system captures both the subject and background in bright, clear details over the full flash range including extremne close-ups.

Face Detection 3.0
Includes 360° detection in Range, up to 10 detected faces and auto red eye removal. Also has the Face Detection playback Red-eye Removal during Playback, Zoom Up, Cropping and Close-up Slideshow.

Dual Image Stabilisation
Uses high sensitivity plus CCD Shift Image Stabilisation.

Scene Position and Mode Dial
Simply choose the shooting mode that matches the scene, and every setting from shutter speed to white balance is optimized to capture an exceptional image. Choose from 15 different scene modes.

THE F70 EXR and the F200 EXR have no date stamp feature, that puts the date on the photo - u may have a beautiful photo bu t end up struggling to remember when you took the pic, how old you were in it etc!!!

good camera, good price
#2
deal - cash back is good
#3
Why the negative votes? This is a good price for a good camera.
#4
not bad
#5
Perhaps the cold voters could let us know where there is a better deal for this camera or the F70EXR which is the same camera.
#6
It's a good camera and a good price. Should be more hot votes :( If it said "Panasonic" on the box, I think the vote would be much higher. However, this camera has shown consistently better results than the equivalent Panny and cost less than half the price.

Most people now a days are blinded by branding so will only buy Panasonic or Canon cameras. It's a real shame because this is just as good as the Panasonic TZ7 and the Canon SX200is but far cheaper. The best thing about it is that it's smaller than both to!

Fujifilm have the best sensors on the market by most people still only look at how many megapixels a camera has.

Those who do take this deal are getting a much better deal than others buying cameras this Christmas.

I posted this deal and also own a TZ7. To be honest the TZ7 has this out gunned with a bigger zoom range and HD (AVCHD Lite) video but not by much and this come out at about HALF the price of the TZ7! So, although I think the TZ7 is the best travel camera money can buy I would have to say this is a better deal even if the Fuji is not quite as good as the Panasonic.

I any case, just charging the battery before I try out my new F72EXR.

just away to order...heated
#10
use the code 'cameras8' when ordering with jessops for 8% off too
#11
Ordered for collection
#12
Can't be long before all new mid range cameras include a HD video mode.
#13
This is a great price! I work for Fujifilm and this is cheaper than I can get with my staff discount !!!
#14
Hmmm, I was going to buy a Canon Ixus 95 IS for £120-125. Should I go for this instead?
#15
Can you qualify for the £30 cashback for a purchase on the Fuji website shop using code
P832A4V3T8MES which brings the price to £143.99 before the cashback..if so it avoids the chancing with Quidco?

Personally I'd go for this!

I have the Ixus 100is and its pretty fantastic amazingly pocketable and the shots have been mostly impressive.

However I still use my Fuji Finepix S6500fd a lot, the SuperCCD sensors are amazing.
#17
The fuji website one is f70, the cashback form is specifically for the jessops f72 model, so no.

Well, the Ixus and the Fuji are different sorts of cameras, the Fuji has a bigger zoom for example, depends on what you want from your new camera.
#19
very nice camera!
#20
Heat added.

Excellent deal for an excellent camera, I have the F70EXR which is the same but non-jessops branded model. ISO 1600 is very useable - Fuji has improved it's noise reduction and the classic watercolouring effect is less evident.

Since buying this camera, I hardly use my F31fd anymore :)

Decisions, decisions.

Choosing a new camera is so damn hard! :-(

hot..

Is this any good for night shots? I usually take mine to gigs and the shots on all my cameras are appling and just wondered if this would be any better?

It should be better than most other compact cameras but difficult to say if it will give you the results you want. All depends on how close to the stage you can get and light levels.

You can download the F70 form from fujifilm so not a problem

That's nice for you and your local store - this applies to anyone ordering online.

Sorry i don't mean to sound thick but at what point does the site show that the deductions for the vouchers have come off???

I've entered all of them in but it only states "You have added the following Jessops.com voucher:
DIGITALFRAMES10 - 10% off all digital photo frames" and none of the others plus it doesn't calculate this 10% as the Total ammount to pay is still £169.00. Its at this point that they are wanting my card details, reluctant to do so without the checkout saying £130.55?

You can't use that code as its for digital photo frames. The 8% code is the best you can use.
#34
Thanks for the heads up - I'm now mulling a three way choice between this, the Panasonic TZ6 and Canon SX200 IS , they all have their advantages and disadvatages. :-/

This should be fine using the High ISO Low Noise setting on the EXR.

What settings do you use when at gigs?
I usually use:
Shutter Speed of around 1/15sec and ISO 800,

You need to enter JESSOPS5 for the code, this will reduce it to 160.55, you then claim £30 back from Fuji by downloading and posting off the PDF form from the F72EXR page on the Jessops site.

If you also go through Quidco you should also get another £11 off.

Tough one, this review may help: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/q209grouplongzoom/

If cost is not an issue I would get the TZ6 or TZ7, I have a TZ7 and I don't think there is anything in the class to touch it. However, the F72EXR is a a good camera and a stonking deal at this price and under £120 if the Quidco comes through.
