Fujinon 18x Zoom & 28mm wide-angle lens
14 Megapixel resolution
Large, 3.0 inch LCD and EVF
Full HD capture & HDMi port for easy connection
Dual Image Stabilisation

ujifilm's new 18x superzoom is ideal for those who are looking for much more flexibility and zoom range than a compact can offer, but who don't want the expense and bulk of a DSLR system.

The FinePix S2800HD has a versatile Fujinon 18x zoom, 28mm wide-angle lens, HD image and video capture, and manual photographic controls, all combining to give users the freedom for photographic creativity.

However, for those whose approach to photography is more point-and-shoot, the S2800HD can also happily be switched to "Auto" for hassle-free shooting and total peace of mind.

seems a good spec and price to me

Does anyone know whether it has a lithium-ion battery or AAs and does anyone know how low the pixel density is?
#4
As it is a Fuji, it will most probably be AAs

Of course there are SLRs but I go outdoor a lot with my Panasonic FZ 28 and i love it.
Yes maybe there are better cameras but this is great all rounder for me. Great zoom and stabilization also quite light.

This Fuji Film FinePix S2800 HD seems to have a good price/performance ratio.

How hilariously mature of you. Since Google was leading me round in circles I was asking if a human may be able to help.

It's just my opinion but Fujifilm have lost their mind after producing the S9600/S100fs. The latest models have higher pixels and hd but decreased picture quality.

I have had the s9600 for almost 3 years and have yet to consider replacing it.

Reading reviews this camera certainly won't be tempting you to change!

COLD because it's cheaper at Amazon - but read the reviews and do not buy it!

"Nicholas" did give a 5 star review on Amazon, I've quoted it here for your enjoyment:-

THIS IS A GREAT CAMERA FOR THE PRICE THAT IT IS I'VE ORDER ONE THE OTHER DAY THE S2900 BUT IT WAS THE S1900 CAME AND EVEN THE THAT WAS SO GOOD CANT WAIT TO HAVE MY HANDS ON THIS BEAUTY.

I agree with Pet2000 Fuji seem to have lost their mind with these cheaper 'super zoom' models; producing cameras full of features but with ever decreasing picture quality.

I have the S2500 Hd and it is alright. NOt awseome. Its not easy to use in the night. VERY good in the day. struggles indoor unless you fiddle with the exposure and aperture manually inside. Alright for the price. i wouls recommend the cannon s95. I am returning mine to buy that although it is £200 more dear. but hell you dont want to miss a moment with your camera do u?

Dont replace it! The S9500/9600 and the S6500 were so far the best cameras Fuji produced (except for the now also discontinued S5).

Lets see if the HS20 is any better than the HS10. Sensor is same size but EXR. If it turns out as good as the S100fs, I might get it :)
