Here's a couple of reviews:-

http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/fuji-finepix-f300exr.cfm

http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/fujifilm_finepix_f300exr_review/

Although the reviews show this camera is by no means perfect - if you take into account the photographyblog
review was for a £300 camera at £135.99 I think this is very good value.

Being sold from Fuji shop one would hope they are refurbished quite well; I bought one about 3 years ago with a six month warranty and it was immaculate; obviously things may have changed for the worse; but the fact they now give a 1 year warranty may be a good sign.

OK, got my Fuji. Was waiting on the F550EXR, but it looks like that might be a slight disappointment. Anyway, went for this.

I knew what I was expecting so knew the problems with this camera for a while (was going to get this camera when it first came out, until I read the reviews). This price is a steal!

The camera was in good nick. Looked brand new, no faults so far. It came with all the acessories including the legendary wrist strap. The only problem I had with this, is that it didn't come in its original box and came in a largish Fuji 'Refurbished' Box. This makes resell value somewhat much less than if it looked retail. Still it's better than a white box and well packaged.

The camera itself is well priced. The F550EXR may end up dissapointing as well. I've seen some sample pictures and it looks like the IQ is only marginally better than the F300EXR even though it has an EXMOR sensor.

This is a very good price and feature wise better than all the previous EXR series. Will test out the image quality later.

Might be worth giving them a try. Just didn't want the disappointment of a scratched and obviously used camera. Thanks for the reply it is appreciated
